This review identifies key design considerations for insect‐inspired microrobots capable of multimodal locomotion. To draw inspiration, biological and robotic strategies for moving in air, on water surfaces, and underwater are examined, along with approaches for crossing the air–water interface.

This review maps the methods to monitor robots’ health by fusing vibration, sound, control signals, vision, force, and oil information with artificial intelligence. It identifies deep learning, transfer learning, digital twins, and physics‐informed models as key methodological pathways enabling earlier diagnosis, safer human–robot collaboration, and ...

Trajectory approximately controllability and optimal control for noninstantaneous impulsive inclusions without compactness [PDF]
In this paper, a noninstantaneous impulsive differential inclusion model is established based on the heating phenomenon of the rod. The controllability problem for this system governed by a semilinear differential inclusion with noninstantaneous impulses

This study achieves the synergistic integration of self‐powered sensing and edge AI acceleration to establish a real‐time fault diagnosis system. The proposed TENG‐based self‐powered bearing sensor (NSE‐TBS) and FPGA‐accelerated edge AI framework fundamentally break through the inherent limitations of conventional monitoring systems, including complex ...

Gradually bent perylene bisimides (PBIs) isolate structural distortion as the sole variable and exhibit negligible intersystem crossing, uncovering rapid vibrational dephasing as the dominant driver of internal conversion through excited‐state vibrational landscape reorganization.

Stability for impulsive control systems [PDF]
In this paper we extend the notion of the control Lyapounov pair of functions and derive a stability theory for impulsive control systems. The control system is a measure driven differential inclusion that is partly absolutely continuous and partly ...

Ultrafast Optoacoustics Reveals Intricate 3D Anisotropic Elasticity in Nanocrystalline Membranes
Ultrafast optoacoustic spectroscopy combined with a Sagnac interferometer enables non‐contact, simultaneous characterization of thickness and the full three‐dimensional anisotropic elastic constants in freestanding nanocrystalline copper membranes. By capturing gigahertz Lamb waves and zero‐group‐velocity resonances followed by SAFE‐GA inversion, the ...

Hamilton-Jacobi Conditions for an Impulsive Control Problem [PDF]
A vector-valued impulsive control problem is considered whose dynamics, defined by a differential inclusion, are such that the vector fields associated withthe singular term do not satisfy the so called Frobenius condition.

Improved Direct Ink Writing of Liquid Metal Foams via Liquid Additives
The ability to pattern liquid metal is useful for making soft electrical and thermal devices. Dispensing liquid metal from a nozzle naturally results in the formation of spheroidal droplets, making direct‐write printing challenging. Liquid metal foams containing pockets of air can extrude as filaments, albeit inconsistently.
