Vibrational Exfoliation of 2D Materials

open access: yesSmall, EarlyView.
Vibrational energy folds, fractures and exfoliates atomically and molecularly thin materials. Combining experimentation and computational methods, this unique vibrational synthesis pathway is revealed. This process overcomes barriers of existing approaches by processing 1000 g/L dispersions without loss in yield.

The Performance of Wavelet Packet Division Multiplexing in Impulsive and Gaussian Noise

open access: yesJournal of Engineering and Sustainable Development, 2008
The aim of this paper is to investigate the effect of impulsive noise on the performance of the WPDM (Wavelet Packet Division Multiplexing) system. The employed model of impulsive noise consists of Bernoulli distributed impulsive arrivals and Gaussian ...

Quantum State‐Resolved Photodissociation Dynamics Study of Transition‐Metal Carbonyl and Nitrosyl

open access: yesThe Chemical Record, EarlyView.
State‐resolved scattering measurements provide experimental visualization of nuclear motions in reacting molecules. Carbonyls and nitrosyls are typical ligands in most of the transition‐metal complexes, which undergo dissociation upon visible and ultraviolet photoexcitation.

A Physics‐Aware Lightweight Transformer Network for Intelligent Bearing Fault Diagnosis Under Variable Operating Conditions

open access: yesArtificial Intelligence for Engineering, EarlyView.
A physics‐aware lightweight transformer converts vibration signals into overlapping patch to kens aligned with bearing defect frequencies, enabling amplitude‐invariant self‐attention that generalises across variable load conditions, achieving 99.2% accuracy with 0.52 M parameters and 8.2 ms inference for real‐time edge deployment.

A MAP equaliser for impulsive noise environments

open access: yes, 2007
The maximum a posteriori probability (MAP) criterion for channel equalisation has been used with the assumption of additive Gaussian white noise. In this study, we investigate the MAP criterion in the presence of finite intersymbol interference and ...

Time to Breakdown for Type I Motor Winding Insulation Under High‐Frequency High‐Slew‐Rate Square Wave Voltages

open access: yesHigh Voltage, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The emergence of (ultra)wide bandgap ((U)WBG)‐based devices has significantly enhanced performance in high‐frequency switching applications, enabling breakthroughs in electric transportation, aerospace, and renewable energy systems. However, it also presents considerable challenges to insulation systems, such as electric motor winding ...
