Pol-CCES based modulation recognition method under impulsive noise
To realize signal classification in impulsive noise environment, a modulation recognition scheme based on polished cyclic correntropy spectrum and shallow residual network was proposed. The proposed scheme not only has low computational complexity but ...

This work describes the development of human hemoglobin nanoparticles using an anti‐solvent precipitation synthesis method as a potential next generation hemoglobin‐based oxygen carrier. The hemoglobin nanoparticles are uniform in size and shape, hemocompatible, stable at various storage conditions, and demonstrate a scalable synthesis technique ...

Impulsive noise pollution in the Northeast Atlantic: Reported activity during 2015-2017.
Underwater noise pollution from impulsive sources (e.g. explosions, seismic airguns, percussive pile driving) can affect marine fauna through mortality, physical injury, auditory damage, physiological stress, acoustic masking, and behavioural responses ...

A Restoration Method for Impulsive Functions [PDF]
A method is presented for enhancing the resolution of impulsive functions which have been degraded by a known convolutional disturbance and by the addition of white noise.

Adaptive Noise Reduction Algorithm to Improve R Peak Detection in ECG Measured by Capacitive ECG Sensors [PDF]
Electrocardiograms (ECGs) can be conveniently obtained using capacitive ECG sensors. However, motion noise in measured ECGs can degrade R peak detection.

Epilepsy syndromes classification
Abstract Epilepsy syndromes are distinct electroclinical entities which have been recently defined by the International League Against Epilepsy Nosology and Definitions Task Force. Each syndrome is associated with “a characteristic cluster of clinical and EEG features, often supported by specific etiologic findings”.

The Radial Force (RF) distribution under different cutting angles is presented in Figure 1. Generally, the distribution of RF displays divergence across different flow conditions. The pattern of force distribution reveals a total of 24 peaks, which corresponds to the number of blades of the impeller of the SCP.

Optomechanical scheme for the detection of weak impulsive forces [PDF]
We show that a cooling scheme and an appropriate quantum nonstationary strategy can be used to improve the signal to noise ratio for the optomechanical detection of weak impulsive forces.Comment: 4 pages, Revtex, 1 ...
