Synchrotron Radiation for Quantum Technology
Materials and interfaces underpin quantum technologies, with synchrotron and FEL methods key to understanding and optimizing them. Advances span superconducting and semiconducting qubits, 2D materials, and topological systems, where strain, defects, and interfaces govern performance.

HKUST‐1/TiO2 composite materials show a very high photocatalytic hydrogen evolution rate which increases as a function of the irradiation time until reaching a plateau and even surpasses the performance of the 1%Pt/TiO2 material after three photocatalytic cycles.

Impurity in a granular gas under nonlinear Couette flow
We study in this work the transport properties of an impurity immersed in a granular gas under stationary nonlinear Couette flow. The starting point is a kinetic model for low-density granular mixtures recently proposed by the authors [Vega Reyes F et al.

Impurity Conduction and Magnetic Polarons in Antiferromagnetic Oxides
Low-temperature transport and magnetization measurements for the antiferromagnets SrMnO(3) and CaMnO(3) identify an impurity band of mobile states separated by energy E from electrons bound in Coulombic potentials.

Impurity-band transport in organic spin valves [PDF]
The central phenomenon in the field of organic spintronics is the large magnetoresistance in thick organic spin valves. A prerequisite for understanding the magnetoresistance is a reliable description of the device resistance, or the I-V characteristics.

This work reports the self‐assembly of a pyrene derivative into two distinct nanostructures and their application in visible‐light photocatalysis. The two nanostructures exhibit completely different yet complementary photocatalytic activities, promoting either H2 or H2O2 evolution.

Quasi-linear transport analysis of impurity mode in tokamak plasmas
The quasilinear turbulent particle and heat transports induced by the impurity mode (IM), driven by the opposite gradients of the core hydrogen and outer $\mathrm{C}^{6+}$ , $\mathrm{O}^{6+}$ , $\mathrm{O}^{8+}$ and $\mathrm{Ne}^{8+}$ ions, are shown to ...

The chemical composition and band alignment are systematically investigated at the TiO2/InP heterointerface. Thin TiO2 films are deposited by ALD on atomically ordered, P‐terminated p‐InP(100). By combining UPS, XPS, and ab initio molecular dynamics, the atomistic structure and electronic alignment are revealed.
