A pro-gastrin-releasing peptide imprinted photoelectrochemical sensor based on the in situ growth of gold nanoparticles on a MoS2 nanosheet surface.

In Analysis, 2020
Lamellar MoS2 nanosheets were successfully prepared by hydrothermal synthesis using 1-(3-mercaptopropyl)-3-methyl-imidazolium bromine (MIMBr) ionic liquid as a sulfur source and a morphology control agent, and sodium molybdate as a molybdenum source ...

In Situ Quantum Dot Growth on Multiwalled Carbon Nanotubes

Journal of the American Chemical Society, 2003
The generation of nanoscale interconnects and supramolecular, hierarchical assemblies enables the development of a number of novel nanoscale applications. A rational approach toward engineering a robust system is through chemical recognition. Here, we show the in situ mineralization of crystalline CdTe quantum dots on the surfaces of oxidized ...

In Situ Observation of Oscillatory Growth of Bismuth Nanoparticles

Nano Letters, 2012
We study the growth of Bi nanoparticles in an engineered precursor-scarce environment in a liquid cell at an elevated temperature (180 °C) using transmission electron microscopy. Observation reveals dynamics of oscillatory growth of individual nanoparticles, pairwise Ostwald ripening and anti-Ostwald ripening and a global collective oscillation.

In situ growth and characterization of ultrahard thin films

Microscopy Research and Technique, 1998
Results concerning the operation of a new ultrahigh vacuum (UHV) ion-beam assisted deposition system for in situ investigation of ultrahard thin films are reported. A molecular beam epitaxy (MBE) chamber attached to a surface science system (SPEAR) has been redesigned for deposition of cubic-boron nitride thin films.

In situ reflectance monitoring of epitaxial growth

2000 Digest of the LEOS Summer Topical Meetings. Electronic-Enhanced Optics. Optical Sensing in Semiconductor Manufacturing. Electro-Optics in Space. Broadband Optical Networks (Cat. No.00TH8497), 2002
Epitaxial growth of compound semiconductors is accomplished with MOCVD or MBE. In both these methods, many process variables must be precisely controlled to achieve the proper combination of layer thickness, chemical composition, lattice matching, and doping levels required by modern compound semiconductor devices.

In Situ Study of Noncatalytic Metal Oxide Nanowire Growth

Nano Letters, 2014
The majority of the nanowire synthesis methods utilize catalyst particles to guide the nanowire geometry. In contrast, catalyst-free methods are attractive for facile fabrication of pure nanowires without the need for catalyst preparation. Nonetheless, how nanowire growth is guided without a catalyst is still widely disputed and unclear.
