Vector‐Field Control and Emergent Basal‐Plane Anisotropy of Magnetic Textures in Noncentrosymmetric (Fe0.63Ni0.3Pd0.07)3P

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A field‐driven transition from chiral stripes to an achiral fan state is observed in a tetragonal magnet and linked to a temperature‐dependent rotation of the effective Dzyaloshinskii–Moriya interaction axis. This interplay generates pronounced in‐plane anisotropy and provides a new route for controlling chiral spin textures in noncentrosymmetric ...

Pressure‐Assisted Dimensional Transformation of 2D Hydrogenated Borophene into 0D Boron Quantum Dots

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Hydrogenated borophene (HB) is transformed into distinct boron nanostructures through a solvent‐free thermal process. Under flowing nitrogen, hydrogen escape promotes reconstruction into B2O3 nanoplatelets, whereas hydrogen‐induced pressure under sealed conditions facilitates fragmentation into boron quantum dots.

Hydrogel‐Based 3D‐Printed Anthropomorphic Breast Phantom for Emulating Mechanical and Dielectric Properties of Mammary Tissue. Applications in Microwave Imaging

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A 3D‐printable breast phantom is developed using patient‐derived MRI data and hydrogels that replicate the dielectric properties of healthy and cancerous tissues. Mechanical and dielectric characterization confirm its suitability for microwave imaging.

Three-dimensional inversion analysis of an in situ stress field based on a two-stage optimization algorithm [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Zhejiang University-SCIENCE A, 2016
Establishing an accurate in situ stress field is important for analyzing the rock-mass stability of the underground cavern at the Huangdeng hydropower station in China. Because of the complexity and importance of the in situ stress field, existing back analysis methods do not provide the necessary accuracy or sufficiently recognize nonlinear relations ...

Estimate the In-situ Earth Pressure in a Thrust Fault Zone by Vertical Cut [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
The tension crack appears at the ground surface acompanied by excavations in soils. The development of tension crack is depended upon the horizontal earth pressure exerted on the soils.

Architecture‐Driven Functional Coupling in Vertically Aligned Nanocomposites

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Vertically aligned nanocomposites define a growth‐engineered architecture in which vertical interfaces, strain fields, defect pathways, and phase connectivity are created simultaneously. This review shows how these architectural features couple ferroic, optical, ionic, electrochemical, and device responses, establishing design rules and open challenges

Structure‐Guided Balancing of Ambipolar Transport Enables Symmetric Switching in Heterojunction Bilayer Organic Transistor Inverters

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Balancing the spatially separated p‐ and n‐type transport pathways in heterojunction‐bilayer OTFTs enables symmetric inverter switching (VM ≈ 0.5VDD), whereas discrete integration of unipolar OTFTs gives polarity‐dependent and resistive responses. ABSTRACT High inverter performance in ambipolar organic electronics requires balanced channel strengths ...

Analysis of Surrounding Rock Creep Effect on the Long-Term Stability of Tunnel Secondary Lining

open access: yesShock and Vibration, 2021
The secondary lining failure of deep buried soft rock tunnel often occurs, which is obviously related to the time factor. The formation mechanism of this phenomenon is studied in this paper.
