In situ forage protein degradability characteristics in ruminants
2009Factors characterizing degradation of feedstuffs in the rumen and intestine are critical components of modem ration formulation equations. This study was undertaken to determine the in situ degradability characteristics of forages commonly fed to lactating dairy cattle. In Experiment 1, dry matter (DM) and crude protein (CP) degradation characteristics

In-situ Diagnostics for Cell Performance and Degradation
ECS Transactions, 2009A 10-cell Mk 9 stack was characterized using current/voltage mapping during automotive drive cycle testing. Using performance, voltage loss breakdown and CO-stripping data so called degradation "fingerprints" were constructed that provide deeper insights into the underlying degradation modes.

Degradable thiol-acrylate photopolymers are a new class of biomaterials capable of rapidly polymerizing under physiological conditions upon exposure to UV light, with or without added photoinitiators, and to depths exceeding 10 cm. These materials are formed in situ, and the versatility of their chemistry affords a high degree of control over the final

Bacterial Colonization and Degradation of Demineralized Dentin Matrix in situ
Caries Research, 1994Lesion formation in dentin involves demineralization followed by degradation of the exposed organic matrix. Proteinases from microorganisms present in the dentin are believed to play an important role in the breakdown of the dentinal collagen. In this study, the microflora colonizing decalcified dentin matrix, placed in situ, was identified.

Time‐Resolved in‐Situ Observation of Starch Polysaccharide Degradation Pathways
ChemBioChem, 2013AbstractAnalytical challenges in the direct time‐resolved observation of starch metabolism have been addressed by using optimized multidimensional NMR experiments. Starch provides the main source of human dietary energy intake and is a raw material for beverage and renewable fuel production.
