In Situ TEM Observation of MgO Nanorod Growth [PDF]

open access: yesCrystal Growth & Design, 2009
The controlled growth of MgO nanorods was investigated under electron irradiation in transmission electron microscopes at accelerating voltages from 120 to 300 kV in the temperature range from −175 to 610 °C. The nanorod growth on the surface of MgO crystals was induced by Au, Pt, Ni, or Co particles of 2−4 nm in size.

In Situ μGISAXS: II. Thaumatin Crystal Growth Kinetic [PDF]

open access: yesBiophysical Journal, 2010
The formation of thaumatin crystals by Langmuir-Blodgett (LB) film nanotemplates was studied by the hanging-drop technique in a flow-through cell by synchrotron radiation micrograzing-incidence small-angle x-ray scattering. The kinetics of crystallization was measured directly on the interface of the LB film crystallization nanotemplate.

Recent progress in metal-substrate supported monolithic catalysts for CO_2 methanation

open access: yes能源环境保护, 2023
With the goal of carbon neutrality, CO_2 methanation technology can not only solve the environmental problems caused by CO_2 emissions, but also convert CO_2 into CH_4 to alleviate problems such as the energy shortages.

In situ Skeletal Growth Rates of the Solitary Cold-Water Coral Tethocyathus endesa From the Chilean Fjord Region

open access: yesFrontiers in Marine Science, 2021
Cold-water corals (CWC) can be found throughout a wide range of latitudes (79°N–78°S). Since they lack the photosymbiosis known for most of their tropical counterparts, they may thrive below the euphotic zone.

In Situ Construction of ZIF-67-Derived Hybrid Tricobalt Tetraoxide@Carbon for Supercapacitor

open access: yesNanomaterials, 2022
The Co3O4 electrode is a very promising material owing to its ultrahigh capacitance. Nevertheless, the electrochemical performance of Co3O4-based supercapacitors is practically confined by the limited active sites and poor conductivity of Co3O4.

Novel In Situ Growth of ZIF-8 in Porous Epoxy Matrix for Mechanically Robust Composite Electrolyte of High-Performance, Long-Life Lithium Metal Batteries

open access: yesMolecules, 2022
Polymer electrolytes (PEs) with high flexibility, low cost, and excellent interface compatibility have been considered as an ideal substitute for traditional liquid electrolytes for high safety lithium metal batteries (LMBs). Nevertheless, the mechanical

Superconducting MgB2 thin films by pulsed laser deposition [PDF]

open access: yes, 2001
Growth of MgB2 thin films by pulsed laser deposition is examined under ex situ and in situ processing conditions. For the ex situ process, Boron films grown by PLD were annealed at 900 C with excess Mg.

Imaging Pulsed Laser Deposition oxide growth by in-situ Atomic Force Microscopy [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
To visualize the topography of thin oxide films during growth, thereby enabling to study its growth behavior quasi real-time, we have designed and integrated an atomic force microscope (AFM) in a pulsed laser deposition (PLD) vacuum setup.

Indoor mould growth prediction using coupled computational fluid dynamics and mould growth model [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
This study investigates, using in-situ and numerical simulation experiments, airflow and hygrothermal distribution in a mechanically ventilated academic research facility with known cases of microbial proliferations. Microclimate parameters were obtained
