Germination of Conidia of Peronospora Tabacina Adam I. Germination in Vitro [PDF]

open access: yesAustralian Journal of Biological Sciences, 1962
Washed conidia of Perono8pora tabacina Adam germinated poorly or not at all in water alone, but germinated in the presence of riboflavin. The rate of germination of conidia in liquid suspension was enhanced by the presence of carbon and nitrogen sources, phosphate, and calcium and magnesium ions.

In vitro assay of neutral electrolyzed water against Fusarium oxysporum and its application as germination pretreatment on tomato (Lycopersicon esculentum), lettuce (Lactuca sativa L.) and cucumber (Cucumis sativus) seeds.

open access: yesEnergy Nexus, 2023
Seed germination is critical for seedling procedures, and new technologies are required to increase crop yields. Some substances are considered elicitors or stimulating agents because they promote seed germination as well as plant growth (like root and ...

Reduced vascular leakage correlates with breast carcinoma T regulatory cell infiltration but not with metastatic propensity

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
A mouse model for vascular normalization and a human breast cancer cohort were studied to understand the relationship between vascular leakage and tumor immune suppression. For this, endothelial and immune cell RNAseq, staining for vascular function, and immune cell profiling were employed.

A Vascular Microphysiological Model of Lung Fibrosis Reveals That Myofibroblasts and IPF Patient‐Derived Fibroblasts Impair Angiogenesis and Vasculogenesis

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A microphysiological lung fibrosis model recapitulates myofibroblast–vascular interactions. Induced myofibroblasts and patient‐derived IPF fibroblasts impair angiogenesis and increase vascular permeability via TGF‐β1–driven signaling. Pharmacological interventions with SB 431542 and VEGF supplementation restore vascular morphology and barrier function.

Viability of eggplant pollen [PDF]

open access: yesCrop Breeding and Applied Biotechnology, 2009
This study aimed to test methodologies to evaluate the pollen viability of eggplant. The pollen germinationwas tested in vitro, incubating the pollen during 0.5 and 16 hours in different sucrose concentrations (0; 2.5; 5.0; 7.5 and10.0 g L-1). For the in

Morphological aspects of fruits, seeds, seedlings and in vivo and in vitro germination of species of the genus Cleome

open access: yes, 2014
The genus Cleome is widely distributed in drier areas of the tropics and subtropics. Cleome dendroides and C. rosea are Brazilian native species that occur mainly in Atlantic Forest and sandy coastal plains, respectively ecosystems negatively affected by

Region‐to‐Region Unidirectional Connection In Vitro Brain Model for Studying Directional Propagation of Neuropathologies

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A unidirectional cerebral organoid–organoid neural circuit is established using a microfluidic platform, enabling controlled directional propagation of electrical signals, neuroinflammatory cues, and neurodegenerative disease–related proteins between spatially separated organoids.

Asymbiotic germination, seedling development and plantlet propagation of Encyclia aff. oncidioides - an endangered orchid

open access: yesActa Societatis Botanicorum Poloniae, 2011
In order to estimate the best germination conditions of Encyclia aff. oncidioides seeds, five different media (Fast, Knudson C modified by Vajrabhaya, Murashige and Skoog, PB2 and modified Vacin and Went) with different concentrations of plant growth ...
