In Vitro Propagation of Pandoreas [PDF]

open access: yesHortScience, 2001
Pandoreas, Australian natives of horticultural significance, were successfully propagated using tissue culture. A protocol for rapid in vitro multiplication of commercial cultivars was developed using nodal segments cultured on Murashige and Skoog medium containing either BA or kinetin.

Establishment of a humanized patient‐derived xenograft mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer for preclinical evaluation of combination immunotherapy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We have established a humanized orthotopic patient‐derived xenograft (Hu‐oPDX) mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSOC) that recapitulates human tumor–immune interactions. Using combined anti‐PD‐L1/anti‐CD73 immunotherapy, we demonstrate the model's improved biological relevance and enhanced translational value for preclinical ...

Large‐scale bidirectional arrayed genetic screens identify OXR1 and EMC4 as modifiers of αSynuclein aggregation

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Activation of the mitochondrial protein OXR1 increases pSyn129 αSynuclein aggregation by lowering ATP levels and altering mitochondrial membrane potential, particularly in response to MSA‐derived fibrils. In contrast, ablation of the ER protein EMC4 enhances autophagic flux and lysosomal clearance, broadly reducing α‐synuclein aggregates.

VARIABILITY OF TRAITS OF GROWTH - IN VIVO AND IN VITRO - ON GREENHOUSE CARNATION

open access: yesNotulae Botanicae Horti Agrobotanici Cluj-Napoca, 2004
Several traits of growth on greenhouse carnation were analysed at seven varieties, growing both in vivo and in vitro. In vitro culture, proliferation and root formation were more intense in Pink Sol, Caribe and Tanga than in Pink Sim, Obor and

In Vitro Propagation of Borage

open access: yesHortScience, 1987
Abstract In vitro shoot proliferation of borage ( Borago officinalis L.) was achieved in a basal medium based on Murashige and Skoog salts supplemented with 17.6 μ m BA (4 mg·liter −1 ) plus 10% (

Long‐term hippocampal alterations and cognitive impairment in a murine model of surgical sepsis

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Using a mouse model of surgical sepsis, we tested long‐term memory and analyzed the transcriptome of single cells isolated from the hippocampus. Survivor mice showed worse memory, loss of certain brain cell subpopulations, and abnormal immune cell activity—suggesting that post‐sepsis brain alterations may be linked to cognitive deficits.

Efeitos da escarificação química e da concentração de nitrogênio sobre a germinação e o desenvolvimento in vitro de Vanilla planifolia Jack ex Andr. (Orchidaceae: Vanilloideae) Effect of chemical scarification and concentration of nitrogen on the germination and in vitro development of Vanilla planifolia Jack ex Andr. (Orchidaceae: Vanilloideae)

Melatonin-induced Rhizome Proliferation, Differentiation, and Rooting during Rapid Propagation of Cymbidium goeringii and Cymbidium faberi

open access: yesHortScience, 2022
Melatonin plays an important role in plant resistance to stress. The role of melatonin in the propagation of plant tissue, such as rhizome proliferation, differentiation, and seedling rooting in Cymbidium species, remains unknown.

In Vitro Propagation of Tarragon1

open access: yesHortScience, 1980
Abstract A combination of 1.0 mg/liter 6-benzylamino purine (BA) and 0.1 mg/liter naphthaleneacetic acid (NAA) with 3% sucrose produced the greatest number of shoots from sterile leaf pieces of tarrogon ( Artemesia dracunculus L. var. sativa

YIPFα1A expression is regulated by multilayered molecular mechanisms

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
YIPFα1A, a five‐pass Golgi protein, is regulated at multiple layers. (1) Rare‐codon enrichment drives translation‐coupled mRNA decay. (2) A proximal 3′‐UTR element stabilizes mRNA. (3) A distal 3′‐UTR element included by alternate poly(A) site usage represses translation, which can be overridden by the proximal 3′‐UTR element.
