In vitro seed germination, seedling development and aclimattization of Actinocephalus polyanthus (bong.) Sano, an endemic everlasting flower species [PDF]

open access: yesRevista Ceres
Actinocephalus polyanthus (bong.) Sano (Eriocaulaceae) is an everlasting endemic endemic to Brazil with great potential for use in landscaping and as a cut flower on the national and international markets. In order to ensure that its use as an ornamental

Seed germination and in vitro regeneration of the African medicinal and pesticidal plant, Bobgunnia madagascariensis [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
Propagation of the medicinal and pesticidal tree, Bobgunnia madagascarensis is difficult due to poor and erratic germination of its seeds and slow growth of its seedlings. This study involved two separate experiments.

The 4-Aminopyridine Model of Acute Seizures in vitro Elucidates Efficacy of New Antiepileptic Drugs [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
Up to date, preclinical screening for new antiepileptic substances is performed by a combination of different in vivo models of acute seizures, for which large numbers of animals are necessary.

Targeted modulation of IGFL2‐AS1 reveals its translational potential in cervical adenocarcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Cervical adenocarcinoma patients face worse outcomes than squamous cell carcinoma counterparts despite similar treatment. The identification of IGFL2‐AS1's differential expression provides a molecular basis for distinguishing these histotypes, paving the way for personalized therapies and improved survival in vulnerable populations globally.

In Vitro Propagation of Lingonberry

open access: yesHortScience, 1985
Abstract Shoot proliferation of lingonberry (Vaccinium vitis-idaea ssp. minus) was achieved in vitro from shoot tips excised from 1-year-old stock plants and cultured on a low-salt medium supplemented with 2iP. Rooting was obtained without auxin application by placing microshoots in a peat-vermiculite medium in a high humidity chamber.

Establishment of a humanized patient‐derived xenograft mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer for preclinical evaluation of combination immunotherapy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We have established a humanized orthotopic patient‐derived xenograft (Hu‐oPDX) mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSOC) that recapitulates human tumor–immune interactions. Using combined anti‐PD‐L1/anti‐CD73 immunotherapy, we demonstrate the model's improved biological relevance and enhanced translational value for preclinical ...

In Vitro Propagation of Blackberry1

open access: yesHortScience, 1978
Abstract Rapid propagation of the thornless blackberries (Rubus sp.) ‘Smoothstem’ and US 64-39-2 was achieved by culturing shoot tips in a modified Murashige and Skoog medium containing benzyladenine (BA), gibberellic acid (GA3) and indolebutyric acid (IBA).

The cooperative regulation of miR‐221 by APE1 and AUF1 impacts p27Kip1 defining a miR signature relevant for cervical cancer

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
A regulatory axis involving APE1, AUF1, and miR‐221 is proposed. Pri‐miR‐221 is processed by DROSHA and DICER to generate mature miR‐221, which targets p27Kip1 mRNA. APE1 and AUF1 compete for pre‐miR‐221 binding. Reduced APE1/AUF1 levels impair miR‐221 biogenesis, decrease p27Kip1 mRNA degradation, and promote cell cycle progression, chemoresistance ...

Optimizing culture media for in vitro proliferation and rooting of Tetra (Prunus empyrean 3) rootstock

open access: yesJournal of Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology, 2015
The enormous demand for new rootstock genotypes in Prunus spp. makes us to use micropropagation as an unavoidable propagation method. Therefore, the study on micropropagation of a new semi-dwarf vegetative rootstock namely Tetra (Prunus empyrean 3) was ...
