Pharmaceutico-analytical Study of Dhananjayadi Vati and Assessment of its Antihistaminic Activity: A Research Protocol [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Clinical and Diagnostic Research
Introduction: Histamine is the local hormone synthesised by mast cells in the tissue and basophils in the blood. Histamine and its Receptors (H1R-H4R) have a substantial impact on the onset of many allergic diseases.

Gut microbiome and aging—A dynamic interplay of microbes, metabolites, and the immune system

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Age‐dependent shifts in microbial communities engender shifts in microbial metabolite profiles. These in turn drive shifts in barrier surface permeability of the gut and brain and induce immune activation. When paired with preexisting age‐related chronic inflammation this increases the risk of neuroinflammation and neurodegenerative diseases.

Evaluation of the Biocompatibility of Orthodontic Brackets and Wires: An In-Vitro Study

open access: yesJournal of Pharmacy and Bioallied Sciences
Background: Orthodontic treatment involves the use of various materials, including brackets and wires, which come into direct contact with oral tissues. Biocompatibility of these materials is crucial to ensure patient safety and treatment success.

An In Vitro Study of Antileukemic Serum [PDF]

open access: yesBlood, 1955
Abstract 1. A rabbit anti-DBA2-mouse-induced lymphogenous leukemia serum was prepared that contained antibodies to normal lymphocytic and to leukemic lymphocytic antigens, as determined by the complement fixation test of Thornton and his associates. 2.

Valosin‐containing protein counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its ATPase activity in vitro

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Biomolecular condensates formed by fused in sarcoma (FUS) are dissolved by high ATP concentrations yet persist in cells. Using a reconstituted system, we demonstrate that valosin‐containing protein (VCP), an AAA+ ATPase, counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its D2 ATPase activity.

Lactoferrin Solution as a New Natural Photosensitizer in Photodynamic Therapy Against Oral Candida spp. Multidrug-Resistant Isolates: A Preliminary In Vitro Study

open access: yesMicroorganisms
Serious oral infections are frequently caused by Candida species, which have lately demonstrated resistance to antifungal medications. As a result, new therapeutic strategies, like photodynamic therapy (PDT), are desperately needed.

The determination of the initial straight length in root canals of mandibular premolars -an in vitro study

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Medical Research, 2009
The aim of the present roentgenographic in vitro study was to determine the initial straight length from the cemento-enamel junction (CEJ) to the appearance of a root canal curvature in human mandibular premolars.

Diversity and complexity in neural organoids

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Neural organoid research aims to expand genetic diversity on one side and increase tissue complexity on the other. Chimeroids integrate multiple donor genomes within single organoids. Self‐organising multi‐identity organoids, exogenous cell seeding, or enforced assembly of region‐specific organoids contribute to tissue complexity.

Influence of Metamizole on Antitumour Activity of Risedronate Sodium in In Vitro Studies on Canine (D-17) and Human (U-2 OS) Osteosarcoma Cell Lines

open access: yesBiomedicines
The availability of metamizole varies greatly around the world. There are countries such as the USA, UK, or Australia where the use of metamizole is completely forbidden, and there are also countries where this drug is available only on prescription (e.g.

A STUDY OF SERUM SALVARSANIZED IN VITRO [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Experimental Medicine, 1916
1. Addition of salvarsan to serum in vitro produces a spirocheticidal mixture which is increased in potency by heating. 2. The heated serum of salvarsan-treated patients is more spirocheticidal if it has been in contact with the clot over night than if it has been separated immediately after coagulation.
