Systemic cyst(e)inase administration induces ferroptosis and synergizes with temozolomide in glioblastoma. [PDF]
Glioblastoma (GBM), an aggressive primary brain cancer, exhibits therapeutic resistance because of tumor heterogeneity and highly plastic glioma stem cells (GSCs). This study targets the metabolic vulnerability of GSCs to cysteine depletion using Cyst(e)inase, a cysteine-degrading enzyme.

Probing the Hybrid σ/π-Holes in sp2-Hybridized Chalcogen Bond Donors and their Complexes with Ammonia. [PDF]
A double‐bonded chalcogen bond donor exhibits both a σ‐hole and a π‐hole on the same atom. These unique σ/π‐holes can be tuned based on molecular composition to be directional or semidirectional depending on the donor–acceptor bonding configuration, which differs from the behavior of other electropositive holes.

Inased (inhaled sedation in ICU) trial protocol: a multicentre randomised open-label trial [PDF]
Introduction The use of sedation in intensive care units (ICUs) is necessary and ubiquitous. The impact of sedation strategy on outcome, particularly when delivered early after initiation of mechanical ventilation, is unknown.

Research progress and insights on the role of ferroptosis in wound healing
Abstract Ferroptosis is a newly discovered cell death type which is different from apoptosis, autophagy, pyroptosis as well as necrosis in the following aspects: morphology, biochemistry, gene and regulatory mechanisms. Ferroptosis is regulated by multiples of mechanisms such as system Xc− mechanism, glutathione peroxidase 4 (GPX4) mechanism, iron ...

Abstract Previous models of strike‐slip basins do not consider the rotation of the basin itself; however, we show that the Tanakura transtensional basin in Japan was rotated and propose that this basin rotation was related to rifting caused by back‐arc spreading.

Role of Orai‐family channels in the activation and regulation of transcriptional activity
Abstract Store operated Ca2+ entry (SOCE) is a cornerstone for the maintenance of intracellular Ca2+ homeostasis and the regulation of a variety of cellular functions. SOCE is mediated by STIM and Orai proteins following the activation of inositol 1,4,5‐trisphosphate receptors.
