Abstract Background Ascorbic acid 2‐glucoside (AA2G) is a stabilized form of ascorbic acid and a potent antioxidant. Ascorbic acid is present in the testes and epididymis and helps maintain the physiological integrity of reproductive organs. Its properties have been utilized to protect spermatozoa of different species from oxidative stress.

ABSTRACT Antipsychotic drugs (APDs) are a diverse class of neuroactive pharmaceuticals increasingly detected in surface and ground waters globally. Some APDs are classified as posing a high environmental risk, due, in part, to their tendency to bioaccumulate in wildlife, including fish.

Electroconvulsive Thresholds of Inbred Mouse Strains
The electroconvulsive threshold (ECT) test is used commonly in the screening of anti-epileptic drugs in rodent models, but little is known about its genetic or mechanistic basis. Thresholds for minimal clonic, maximal tonic, or psychomotor (partial) seizures were determined in 16 different inbred mouse strains in two different laboratories.

Our Translational Loop integrates patient genetic data with Drosophila models to study disease mechanisms. We identified ACO2 variants in a patient linked to ICRD and show that our animal model mirrors key aspects of the disease. These insights help pinpoint therapeutic targets, advancing research toward treatments for rare genetic disorders.

We report an individual with mucopolysaccharidosis type IIIB and chronic pancytopenia. Hematological studies in a mouse model revealed microcytic anemia and decreased monocyte count. Hence, pancytopenia is thought to be secondary to mucopolysaccharidosis type IIIB, and we suggest that a complete blood count should be included in the clinical ...

Microarrays are designed to measure genome-wide differences in gene expression. In cases where a tissue is not accessible for analysis (e.g. human brain), it is of interest to determine whether a second, accessible tissue could be used as a surrogate for

Profiles of parents' upward and downward comparisons and their associations with parenting
ABSTRACT Objective The aim of this study was to explore whether there are naturally occurring groups of parents who display different profiles of upward (i.e., comparing with those better off) and downward (i.e., comparing with those worse off) social comparisons, and if these differ on parental symptoms, self‐efficacy, and positive parenting behaviors.

Our study provides a proof of concept for combining immune priming with assisted migration for insect conservation. Introducing genetically diverse, immune‐primed migrants improves both pathogen resistance and reproductive success in inbred individuals.
