Morphisms preserving the set of words coding three interval exchange

open access: yes, 2012
Any amicable pair \phi, \psi{} of Sturmian morphisms enables a construction of a ternary morphism \eta{} which preserves the set of infinite words coding 3-interval exchange. We determine the number of amicable pairs with the same incidence matrix in $SL^

The extremal spectral radii of $k$-uniform supertrees

open access: yes, 2014
In this paper, we study some extremal problems of three kinds of spectral radii of $k$-uniform hypergraphs (the adjacency spectral radius, the signless Laplacian spectral radius and the incidence $Q$-spectral radius). We call a connected and acyclic $k$

Strain and correlation of self-organized Ge_(1-x)Mn_x nanocolumns embedded in Ge (001)

open access: yes, 2010
We report on the structural properties of Ge_(1-x)Mn_x layers grown by molecular beam epitaxy. In these layers, nanocolumns with a high Mn content are embedded in an almost-pure Ge matrix. We have used grazing-incidence X-ray scattering, atomic force and

Las malas prácticas bancarias no rectificadas. Una medición de su influencia en la desconfianza de la clientela [PDF]

open access: yesAtlantic Review of Economics, 2015
Present article is contextualized in an evolved market as the banking where there is a high level of competition that leads in many cases to the marketing of wide range of financial products based on limited information or untransparent, presence of ...

An algebraic analysis of the graph modularity

open access: yes, 2014
One of the most relevant tasks in network analysis is the detection of community structures, or clustering. Most popular techniques for community detection are based on the maximization of a quality function called modularity, which in turn is based upon

Organoids in pediatric cancer research

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Organoid technology has revolutionized cancer research, yet its application in pediatric oncology remains limited. Recent advances have enabled the development of pediatric tumor organoids, offering new insights into disease biology, treatment response, and interactions with the tumor microenvironment.

Distributed Triangle Counting in the Graphulo Matrix Math Library

open access: yes, 2017
Triangle counting is a key algorithm for large graph analysis. The Graphulo library provides a framework for implementing graph algorithms on the Apache Accumulo distributed database.

Plecstatin inhibits hepatocellular carcinoma tumorigenesis and invasion through cytolinker plectin

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The ruthenium‐based metallodrug plecstatin exerts its anticancer effect in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) primarily through selective targeting of plectin. By disrupting plectin‐mediated cytoskeletal organization, plecstatin inhibits anchorage‐dependent growth, cell polarization, and tumor cell dissemination.

Some Applications of Coding Theory in the Projective Plane of Order Four

open access: yesAl-Mustansiriyah Journal of Science, 2019
The main aim of this research is to introduce the relationship between the topic of coding theory and the projective plane of order four. The maximum value of size code M over the finite field of order four and an incidence matrix with the parameters, n (

New Analytical Approach for Computation of Band Structure in One-dimensional Periodic Media

open access: yes, 2003
In this paper, we present a new approach for the exact calculation of band structure in one-dimensional periodic media, such as photonic crystals and superlattices, based on the recently reported differential transfer matrix method (DTMM).
