Relationship of maxillary incisors in complete dentures to the incisive papilla
We investigated the relationship of the maxillary central incisors to the incisive papilla in wearers of complete dentures. First, image analyzer software was used to examine the relationship of the midpoint of the incisive papilla to the labial surface of the maxillary central incisors on occlusal photographs of 120 maxillary casts from dentate ...

Cyst of the Incisive (Palatine) Papilla†
Journal of Periodontology, 1987Cysts of the incisive papilla are uncommon variants of the nasopalatine duct cysts. They may be symptomatic or asymptomatic and usually are not seen radiographically. Relationship of the maxillary canines to the incisive papilla
Journal of Prosthetic Dentistry, 1989The positioning of denture teeth in a completely edentulous patient is dependent on many factors. Anatomic landmarks are frequently valuable in complete denture fabrication. The topography of the palatal soft tissue in relationship to tooth position in dentate patients may be an aid in the placement of denture teeth.

Evaluation of the incisive papilla as a guide to anterior tooth position
Journal of Prosthetic Dentistry, 1987The incisive papilla provides a reference point on the edentulous cast that may be helpful in determining the anteroposterior position of the artificial incisors. The results of the study suggest that the labial surface of the maxillary incisors should be 12 to 13 mm from the posterior border of the incisive papilla.

Relationship of the maxillary central incisors and canines to the incisive papilla
Journal of Oral Rehabilitation, 1975SummaryFour hundred and thirty dentulous casts in normal alignment and Angle's Class I Relationship were examined. The results indicated a relationship between arch shape and the intercanine line with particular reference to the way the latter passed through the incisive papilla. The suggestion is made that in the preliminary location of the anterior ...

Relationship of the incisive papilla to the maxillary central incisors
Journal of Prosthetic Dentistry, 1979The average distance between the most anterior point of the maxillary central incisors and the most posterior point of the incisive papilla was 12.454 mm with a standard deviation of 3.867 mm. This distance was measured when these two points were projected on a plane which was parallel to the reference plane formed by the tips of three interdental ...

Relation of the maxillary canines to the incisive papilla
The Journal of Prosthetic Dentistry, 1964Abstract A survey of 507 dentulous casts indicates that the position of the incisive papilla is relatively constant in relation to a line drawn between the cusp tips of the upper canine teeth. This diagnostic finding is a guide in the selection of artificial anterior teeth for the edentulous patient.
