Data on the angular characteristics of the spiral structure of the narwhal tusk

open access: yesData in Brief, 2018
We studied morphometric features of the spiral structure of the narwhal tusk and show that angular parameters of the arcs of the cementum layer determine the pattern of the spiral structure of the tusk.

A laboratory study of solid-water mixture flow head losses through pipelines at different slopes and solid concentrations

open access: yesSouth African Journal of Chemical Engineering, 2020
Head loss through pipelines is considered as one of the most important parameters for designing the fluid flow and determining the necessary pump horsepower. The solid concentration and pipe inclination affect solid-water mixture head losses. The present

A Bibliometric Analysis of Publications in Uremic Toxins From 1991 to 2024

open access: yesTherapeutic Apheresis and Dialysis, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Uremic toxins are a growing area of research in nephrology, with significant implications in the progression and treatment of chronic kidney disease (CKD) and the management of end‐stage kidney disease (ESKD). This bibliometric analysis aims to evaluate the global research trends, key contributors, and the impact of publications in ...

Determination of Coverage Oscillation for Inclined Communication Satellite

open access: yesSakarya Üniversitesi Fen Bilimleri Enstitüsü Dergisi, 2020
The communication engineers need to evaluate footprint movement to deploy a ground station. Geostationary communication satellite’s inclination angle causes the movement of a satellite footprint.

Influence of Different Angles in the Photobioreactor on Algal Biomass Growth with Optimized Poultry Excreta Leachate: A Batch-Scale Study

open access: yesFermentation, 2023
In this study, the influence of solar inclination angles on biomass growth and the biomolecule profile of Chlorella pyrenoidosa (C. pyrenoidosa) were analyzed in the vertical flat–panel photobioreactor (FPPBR). The growth of C.

Gut microbiome and aging—A dynamic interplay of microbes, metabolites, and the immune system

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Age‐dependent shifts in microbial communities engender shifts in microbial metabolite profiles. These in turn drive shifts in barrier surface permeability of the gut and brain and induce immune activation. When paired with preexisting age‐related chronic inflammation this increases the risk of neuroinflammation and neurodegenerative diseases.

In vitro and in silico modelling of ROS1‐positive non‐small cell lung cancer reveals fusion‐dependent tyrosine kinase inhibitor responses

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Drug resistance limits treatment success in a subset of lung cancers driven by ROS1 gene alterations. Using patient‐derived cells and computer simulations, we studied three key mutations and how they affect five targeted drugs. The mutations reduced drug effectiveness in different ways by altering protein structure and behavior.
