Personalizing the Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Fellowship: Adapting Training for the Next Generation

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The pediatric hematology‐oncology fellowship training curriculum has not substantially changed since its inception. The first year of training is clinically focused, and the second and third years are devoted to scholarship. However, this current structure leaves many fellows less competitive in the current job market, resulting in ...

Functorial CW-approximation [PDF]

Attractive asymmetric inclusions in elastic membranes under tension: cluster phases and membrane invaginations

open access: yes, 2013
Up-down asymmetric inclusions impose a local, spontaneous curvature to an elastic membrane. When several of them are inserted in a same membrane, they feel effective forces mediated by the membrane, both of elastic and entropic nature.

A splitting algorithm for dual monotone inclusions involving cocoercive operators [PDF]

open access: yesAdvances in Computational Mathematics, 2011
We consider the problem of solving dual monotone inclusions involving sums of composite parallel-sum type operators. A feature of this work is to exploit explicitly the properties of the cocoercive operators appearing in the model.

Extraction of the index of refraction by embedding multiple and close small inclusions

open access: yes, 2016
We deal with the problem of reconstructing material coefficients from the farfields they generate. By embedding small (single) inclusions to these media, located at points $z$ in the support of these materials, and measuring the farfields generated by ...
