Work for Image and Work for Pay [PDF]
Standard economic models with complete information predict a positive, monotonic relationship between pay and performance. This prediction does not always hold in experimental tests: offering a small payment may result in lower performance than not ...

A self‐healing and electrically conductive liquid metal elastomer enables robust self‐soldering of surface mount devices for soft electronics. Photothermally activated conductive pathways, strong pressure‐sensitive adhesion, and stable package‐integrated contacts provide high conductivity and extreme stretchability.

Self-Correcting Mechanisms in Public Procurement: Why Award and Contract Should be Separated [PDF]
In public procurement a temporal separation of award and actual contracting can frequently be observed. In this paper we give an explanation for this institutional setting.

Pixelated Laser with Tailored Emission Spectrum Photopatterned by Digital Holographic Microscopy
Azobenzene‐based surface‐relief gratings inscribed via DHM‐integrated holographic lithography enable programmable pixelated DFB laser architectures. This approach allows independent control of grating parameters across a 2D array, enabling spatially tailored emission spectra.

Optimal Contracts under Generalized Verifiability Correspondences [PDF]
Before playing a game, the players may sign a contract that prescibes not to take some actions. Following the methodology introduced in Bernheim and Whinston (1998), henceforth BW, this paper models verifiability as a correspondence mapping actually ...

Amphiphilic chloroazobenzenes, bearing different amino acids as end groups alanine, phenylalanine, and valine, exhibit excellent photoisomerizations. Varying structures of three amino acid groups participate in supramolecular formations and therefore photoinduced morphological transformations via adjusting intermolecular interactions. These interaction
