Parasitic Plant–Host Interactions: Molecular Mechanisms and Agricultural Resistance Strategies

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Parasitic plants devastate global agriculture through sophisticated molecular interactions with host crops. This review synthesizes current understanding of parasitic plant‐host interactions, from strigolactone‐mediated germination and haustorium formation to host defense mechanisms.

Systematics of the North American menhadens: molecular evolutionary reconstructions in the genus Brevoortia (Clupeiformes: Clupeidae) [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
Evolutionary associations among the four North American species of menhadens (Brevoortia spp.) have not been thoroughly investigated. In the present study, classifications separating the four species into small-scaled and large-scaled groups were ...

Phylogenomics of East Asian lineage within subgenus Anguinum (Allium, Amaryllidaceae): insights into its taxonomic puzzles and phylogenetic conflicts

open access: yesBMC Plant Biology
Phylogenomic data enriched with informative loci have significantly improved phylogenetic resolution and facilitated the elucidation of evolutionary mechanisms underlying phylogenetic discordance. Species of the East Asian lineage (EAL) within the Allium

Single‐Cell Transcriptomic Atlases of Camels and Cattle Unravel Molecular Evolution of Digestive and Metabolic Systems

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
We generated multi‐tissue single‐cell transcriptomic atlases of camels and cattle, uncovering conserved and lineage‐specific cellular features across digestive and metabolic systems. Cross‐species comparisons revealed the evolutionary origin of the camel glandular sac and identified novel cell populations linked to physiological specialization ...

Inactivation Rap2a in Endothelial Cell Prevents Pulmonary Fibrosis by Regulating Immune Microenvironment Through MAP4K4‐VCAM1 Signaling

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
We identified the endothelial RAP2A as a regulator of inflammatory endothelial activation in experimental lung fibrosis and suggest that targeting RAP2A‐mediated signaling may represent a potential strategy to modulate endothelial–immune crosstalk during fibrotic lung injury.

Engineering Immune Cell to Counteract Aging and Aging‐Associated Diseases

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This review highlights a paradigm shift in which advanced immune cell therapies, initially developed for cancer, are now being harnessed to combat aging. By engineering immune cells to selectively clear senescent cells and remodel pro‐inflammatory tissue microenvironments, these strategies offer a novel and powerful approach to delay age‐related ...

Population Processes of Genetic Divergence in Palearctic Buzzards During the Late Pleistocene: Advance Report

open access: yesПернатые хищники и их охрана, 2018
Our study illustrates how complex population processes over the Late Pleistocene have shaped the patterns of genetic divergence in Palearctic buzzards, due to the effects of population expansions and contractions, with hybridization at contact zones ...

Multi‐Tissue Omics Analysis Uncovers Translational Regulation Underlying Complex Traits in Pigs

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Integrated multi‐omics across pig breeds and tissues reveals key principles of post‐transcriptional translational regulation and their contribution to trait formation. A gene network framework integrating transcriptomic and translatomic data is developed and applied to elucidate the genetic basis of meat production, offering new insights into mammalian

Concatenation fails to describe the anomalous radiation of giant cockroaches (Blattodea: Blaberidae) despite moderate to low discordance

open access: yesBMC Ecology and Evolution
Background Patterns of discordance between gene trees and the species trees they reside in are crucial to the coalescent vs. concatenation debate and may be key to resolving rapid radiations.
