Inconsistency indices for incomplete pairwise comparisons matrices [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Journal of General Systems, 2019
Comparing alternatives in pairs is a very well known technique of ranking creation. The answer to how reliable and trustworthy ranking depends on the inconsistency of the data from which it was created.

Handling inconsistency in distributed data mining with paraconsistent logic [PDF]

open access: yes, 2004
This paper addresses the problem of inconsistent rule subsets in distributed data mining. In this scenario, N rule subsets are independently discovered from N different data subsets. This can result in inconsistent rules – i.e.

Inconsistency in serial choice decision and motor reaction times dissociate in younger and older adults

open access: yes, 2004
Intraindividual variability (inconsistency) in reaction time (RT) latencies was investigated in a group of younger (M = 25.46 years) and older (M = 69.29 years) men.

Consistency of the decision-maker in pair-wise comparisons [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
Most authors assume that the natural behaviour of the decision-maker is being inconsistent. This paper investigates the main sources of inconsistency and analyses methods for reducing or eliminating inconsistency.

Tumour–host interactions in Drosophila: mechanisms in the tumour micro‐ and macroenvironment

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This review examines how tumour–host crosstalk takes place at multiple levels of biological organisation, from local cell competition and immune crosstalk to organism‐wide metabolic and physiological collapse. Here, we integrate findings from Drosophila melanogaster studies that reveal conserved mechanisms through which tumours hijack host systems to ...

Inconsistency Among Beliefs, Knowledge, and Teaching Practice in Mathematical Problem Solving: A Case Study of a Primary Teacher

open access: yesSoutheast Asian Mathematics Education Journal, 2017
This is a case study investigating a primary teacher’s beliefs, knowledge, and teaching practice in mathematical problem solving. Data was collected through interview of one primary teacher regarding his beliefs on the nature of mathematics, mathematics ...

The nature of inconsistencies in two measures of risk preferences in a sample of young African South Africans

open access: yesCogent Economics & Finance, 2022
In this paper, we attempt to unpack the nature of revealed inconsistencies in two measures of risk preferences for a sample of young African South Africans. The first measure is a self-reported propensity to take risk in general, and the second is a risk

Cognitive-Affective Inconsistency and Ambivalence: Impact on the Overall Attitude–Behavior Relationship

open access: yesPersonality and Social Psychology Bulletin, 2020
This research explored whether overall attitude is a stronger predictor of behavior when underlying cognitive-affective inconsistency or ambivalence is low versus high.

Pre‐analytical optimization of cell‐free DNA and extracellular vesicle‐derived DNA for mutation detection in liquid biopsies

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pre‐analytical handling critically determines liquid biopsy performance. This study defines practical best‐practice conditions for cell‐free DNA (cfDNA) and extracellular vesicle–derived DNA (evDNA), showing how processing time, storage conditions, tube type, and plasma input volume affect DNA integrity and mutation detection.

Keratin 19 as a prognostic marker and contributing factor of metastasis and chemoresistance in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Keratin 19 (KRT19) is overexpressed in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer with high levels of Kallikrein‐related peptidases (KLK) 4–7 and is associated with poor survival. In vivo analyses demonstrate that elevated KRT19 increases peritoneal tumour burden.
