Employing Incremental Outlines for OpenStreetMap Data Updating

open access: yesISPRS International Journal of Geo-Information, 2018
The updating of changing information plays a significant role in ensuring the quality of OpenStreetMap, which is usually completed by mapping the whole changing objects with a high degree of uncertainty.

Inside out: A note on the hierarchical update of nominal modifiers

open access: yesGlossa, 2020
Some sentences are globally informative but still deviant because they contain an expression that is redundant relative in its local environment, as in: #Ann is staying in Paris and she in France.

Redundancy of the Lempel-Ziv incremental parsing rule [PDF]

open access: yesIEEE Transactions on Information Theory, 1997
The redundancy of a noiseless code measures how far the code is from optimal for a given information source. Since the Lempel-Ziv codes have become virtually standard in practical lossless data compression, making an estimate of the redundancy of Lempel-Ziv codes is important.

Optimisation of TCP performance over EGPRS in incremental redundancy mode [PDF]

open access: yes, 2003
This paper investigates how to optimise TCP performance over the EGPRS (enhanced general packet radio service) downlink, when the EGPRS radio link layer is operating in pure incremental redundancy (IR) mode.

Multiple-packet versus single-packet incremental redundancy strategies for type-II hybrid ARQ [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
International audienceIn classical incremental redundancy (IR) hybrid ARQ schemes, successive retransmissions consist of different redundant versions of the same message.

Incrementally Detecting Change Types of Spatial Area Object: A Hierarchical Matching Method Considering Change Process

open access: yesISPRS International Journal of Geo-Information, 2018
Detecting and extracting the change types of spatial area objects can track area objects’ spatiotemporal change pattern and provide the change backtracking mechanism for incrementally updating spatial datasets.

Controlled redundancy in incremental rule learning [PDF]

open access: yes, 1993
This paper introduces a new concept learning system. Its main features are presented and discussed. The controlled use of redundancy is one of the main characteristics of the program. Redundancy, in this system, is used to deal with several types of uncertainty existing in real domains.

Research on multi-person collaborative design of BIM drawing based on blockchain

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2022
The existing multi-person collaborative design scheme of Building Information Modeling (BIM) integrated with blockchain faces problems such as poor reliability of BIM drawing, inconsistent drawing information, redundant information, and inaccurate ...

An Incremental Redundancy HARQ Scheme for Polar Code

open access: yesCoRR, 2017
A polar code extension method which supports incremental redundancy hybrid ARQ(IR-HARQ) is proposed in this paper. By copying information bits to proper positions of the extend part, the extended polar code can give additional protection for the bits weakly protected by the first transmission.
