Predicting extreme defects in additive manufacturing remains a key challenge limiting its structural reliability. This study proposes a statistical framework that integrates Extreme Value Theory with advanced process indicators to explore defect–process relationships and improve the estimation of critical defect sizes. The approach provides a basis for

Quantitative ESG scoring model and metric for alternative investments and venture capital targets
The article introduces an innovative esg-metric quantitative methodology, developed as additive scoring model based on the outcomes of esg-questionnaires. A focused esg-assessment based on Environmental, Social & Governance attributes had been developed &

A novel phthalocyanine (PC)‐based metal–organic framework (MOFs) is synthesized using ditopic PC linkers obtained through regioselective statistical condensation. The resulting MOF exhibits significant improvements in electronic absorption, thereby enhancing the material's performance in light harvesting and energy conversion.

La objetividad del azar en un mundo determinista
This paper deals with the notion of objective randomness in classical deterministic theories. After the introduction, section 2 establishes an important distinction between a strictly metaphysical thesis of determinism (as characterized in the Montague ...

The Independence Axiom and the Bipolar Behaviorist [PDF]
Developments in the theory of risk require yet another evaluation of the behavioral validity of the independence axiom. This axiom plays a central role in most formal statements of expected utility theory, as well as popular alternative models of ...

A lack of standard approaches for testing and reporting the performance of metal halide perovskites and organic semiconductor radiation detectors has resulted in inconsistent interpretation of performance parameters, impeding progress in the field. This Perspective recommends key metrics and experimental details, which are suggested for reporting in ...

This study uncovers the unexplored role of intermolecular interactions in multiphoton absorption in coordination polymers. By analyzing [Zn2tpda(DMA)2(DMF)0.3], it shows how the electronic coupling of the chromophores and confinement in the MOF enhance two‐and three‐photon absorption.

Partial identification using random set theory [PDF]
This paper illustrates how the use of random set theory can benefit partial identification analysis. We revisit the origins of Manski's work in partial identification (e.g., Manski (1989, 1990)), focusing our discussion on identification of probability ...
