A Review of Advances in Flash Drought Research: Challenges and Future Directions

open access: yesEarth's Future, Volume 13, Issue 8, August 2025.
Abstract Flash Droughts (FDs) are intense, short‐duration drought events with rapid onset and intensification, occurring on subseasonal‐to‐seasonal timescales (weeks to months) and causing significant socio‐economic impacts. PRINSAS 2.0: a Python‐based graphical user interface tool for fitting polydisperse spherical pore models in small‐angle scattering analysis of porous materials

open access: yesJournal of Applied Crystallography, Volume 58, Issue 4, Page 1486-1495, August 2025.
The program PRINSAS 2.0 is designed to fit the polydisperse spherical pore model to small‐angle scattering (SAS) data of porous materials. It improves accessibility for users without extensive SAS analysis or programming experience, while being optimized for porous systems commonly found in geological samples.
