Saxifraga rufescens var. rufescens (Saxifragaceae): A New Addition to the Flora of India

open access: yesFeddes Repertorium, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Saxifraga rufescens Balf.f., a species of Saxifragaceae, previously known from China and Myanmar, is now recorded from Nagaland, India. This study offers detailed morphological descriptions, habitat characteristics, field photographs, distributional data, and an analysis of its taxonomic relationships with closely related species, facilitating

Accuracy of ultrasound estimation of fetal weight in twin pregnancy

open access: yesInternational Journal of Gynecology &Obstetrics, EarlyView.
Abstract Objective To determine the accuracy of formulas for estimation of fetal weight in twin pregnancy. Methods Inclusion criteria from the ESPRiT twin cohort were twin pregnancies that resulted in live‐born twins without congenital anomalies or twin‐twin transfusion syndrome, ultrasound examination within 3 days of delivery, birth weight (BW) > 500

WordArt Designer: User-Driven Artistic Typography Synthesis using Large Language Models [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2023
This paper introduces WordArt Designer, a user-driven framework for artistic typography synthesis, relying on the Large Language Model (LLM). The system incorporates four key modules: the LLM Engine, SemTypo, StyTypo, and TexTypo modules. 1) The LLM Engine, empowered by the LLM (e.g., GPT-3.5), interprets user inputs and generates actionable prompts ...

Reaction Kinetics of NH2 With H2CO and CH3CHO: Modeling Implications for NH3‐Dual Fuel Blends

open access: yesInternational Journal of Chemical Kinetics, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Carbon‐free fuels like ammonia (NH3) and hydrogen (H₂) offer significant potential in combating global warming by reducing greenhouse gas emissions and moving toward zero carbon emissions. Over the past few years, our research has focused on understanding the combustion behavior of carbon‐neutral and carbon‐free fuels.

Meta‐regression of the relationship between dietary 18C n‐3 concentration and enrichment of n‐3 fatty acids in liver and breast muscle of broiler chickens

open access: yesLipids, EarlyView.
Abstract The long‐chain n‐3 fatty acids (FA) eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) have human health benefits, and many experiments have investigated the ability of plant n‐3 sources to enrich n‐3 FA in broiler meat. A meta‐regression was conducted to evaluate the relationship between dietary 18‐carbon n‐3 FA content and the ...

Natural Language Processing Algorithms to Improve Digital Marketing Data Quality and Its Ethical Implications

open access: yesPsychology &Marketing, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The ethical implications of personalization in digital marketing are significantly greater when companies adapt their marketing actions to individual consumer preferences. While this approach helps to reduce oversaturation and a sense of irrelevance among consumers, it also raises concerns about privacy and potential algorithmic bias. One form

Corrections of Electron–Phonon Coupling for Second‐Order Structural Phase Transitions

open access: yesphysica status solidi (b), EarlyView.
The left image illustrates a weak electron–phonon coupling, while the right image depicts a strong electron–phonon coupling. The weak electron–phonon coupling interaction between the lattice and electrons is susceptible to destabilization by an increase in temperature.

Generalization of k.p theory for periodic perturbations [PDF]

open access: yesPhys. Rev. B 62, 1843 (2000), 2000
We extend standard k.p theory to take into account periodic perturbations which are rapidly oscillating with a wavelength of a few lattice constants. Our general formalism allows us to explicitly consider the Bragg reflections due to the perturbation-induced periodicity. As an example we calculate the effective masses in the lowest two conduction bands
