Adaptation Rate of Structural Requirements on the Iranian Medical Journals with the Criteria of Indexing Based on Scopus

open access: yesپیاورد سلامت, 2017
Background and Aim: In the recent years the number of science research health journals has increased in Iran. These journals should be based on the standards and criteria required in international indexing database. The aim of this study was to determine

Are letters to the Editor Published in the Journal of Alzheimer’s Disease Undervalued? [PDF]

open access: yesNeurology Letters
Letters to the editor (LTEs) play small, but sometimes important, functions, in biomedicine, including the neurosciences. Journal of Alzheimer’s Disease (JAD), a prominent and solidly ranked (Q2 on SJR, #43) journal dedicated exclusively to this ...

Developmental programmes drive cellular plasticity, disease progression and therapy resistance in lung adenocarcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study shows that lung adenocarcinomas exploit developmental branching morphogenesis to acquire a therapy resistant basal‐like tumour cell state. This process was found to be regulated by combined TP53 loss‐of‐function and type‐I interferon signalling, identifying a novel axis for biomarker and therapeutic target discovery.

Aggregated feature retrieval for MPEG-7 [PDF]

open access: yes, 2003
In this paper we present an initial study on the use of both high and low level MPEG-7 descriptions for video retrieval. A brief survey of current XML indexing techniques shows that an IR-based retrieval method provides a better foundation for retrieval ...

Finding novel vulnerabilities of hypomorphic BRCA1 alleles

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Synthetic lethality screens performed to identify novel vulnerabilities often model complete gene loss, thereby overlooking patient‐derived hypomorphic mutations. In this study, we have performed genome‐wide CRISPR screens on BRCA1 hypomorphic mutations, showing BRCA1I26A behaves like wild‐type, while BRCA1R1699Q mimics deficiency. Furthermore, we have

Indexing Your Journal

open access: yes, 2018
An IU Libaries blog post. "In order to be found by other scholars and considered legitimate, your journal should be discoverable and visible. Journal indexing is an excellent way to increase discoverability, allowing you to achieve higher rates of ...

Longitudinal genome‐wide aneuploidy measurements in circulating cell‐free DNA to predict lack of benefit from pembrolizumab in patients with metastatic urothelial cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Many patients with urothelial cancer do not benefit from treatment with pembrolizumab, while at risk of severe side effects. Changes in the levels of circulating tumor DNA early during treatment, measured by a simple and affordable assay that can be easily implemented in the clinic, can be used as a prognostic tool to identify these patients.

A novel quinazolinone insulin receptor inhibitor and its synergy with an EGFR inhibitor in glucose‐driven glioblastoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The novel styrylquinazolinone‐based molecule W1B effectively suppresses glioblastoma by inhibiting IGF1R and EGFR. In high‐glucose microenvironments driving tumor resistance, W1B acts synergistically with the EGFR inhibitor dacomitinib. This combination safely blocks compensatory survival signaling in zebrafish xenograft models. Showcasing promising in

Sounding the Alarm on Inflation Indexing and Strict Inflation Targeting [PDF]

open access: yes
Unanticipated inflation or deflation causes one party of a nominal contract to gain at the expense of the other party, an effect absent in macroeconomic models with one representative consumer or with consumers having identical consumption. In this paper'
