Indirect Detection of Little Higgs Dark Matter [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
Little Higgs models with T parity contain an attractive dark matter candidate, the heavy photon. We compute the cross section of the heavy photon annihilation into Z-photon pairs, which turns out to be substantially higher than the previously computed ...

PICALM::MLLT10 translocated leukemia

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This comprehensive review of PICALM::MLLT10 translocated acute leukemia provides an in‐depth review of the structure and function of CALM, AF10, and the fusion oncoprotein (1). The multifaceted molecular mechanisms of oncogenesis, including nucleocytoplasmic shuttling (2), epigenetic modifications (3), and disruption of endocytosis (4), are then ...

Condition Monitoring of Railway Bridges Using Vehicle Pitch to Detect Scour

open access: yesSensors
This study proposes the new condition monitoring concept of using features in the measured rotation, or ‘pitch’ signal, of a crossing vehicle as an indicator of the presence of foundation scour in a bridge. The concept is explored through two-dimensional

Interrelationship and cause effect analysis among panicle yield attributing traits in lowland Traditional Rice [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Central European Agriculture, 2014
Yield component analysis provides a framework for identifying potentially useful traits for yield improvement. A field experiment was conducted for two consecutive years to evaluate the forty four low land traditional rice cultivars for twenty three ...

Indirect Searches of the Degenerate MSSM

open access: yes, 2016
A degenerate sfermionic particle spectrum can escape constraints from flavor physics, and at the same time evade the limits from the direct searches if the degeneracy extends to the gaugino-higgsino sector.

Indirect Signs of the Peccei-Quinn Mechanism [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
In the Standard Model, the renormalization of the QCD vacuum angle $\theta$ is extremely tiny, and small $\theta$ is technically natural. In the general Standard Model effective field theory (SMEFT), however, $\Delta\theta$ is quadratically divergent ...

Cell wall target fragment discovery using a low‐cost, minimal fragment library

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
LoCoFrag100 is a fragment library made up of 100 different compounds. Similarity between the fragments is minimized and 10 different fragments are mixed into a single cocktail, which is soaked to protein crystals. These crystals are analysed by X‐ray crystallography, revealing the binding modes of the bound fragment ligands.

Mechanisms of IgE‐mediated food allergy and the role of allergen‐specific B cells

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Food allergy arises when allergen‐specific B cells preferentially produce immunoglobulin E (IgE) antibodies against harmless foods. This article explains the mechanisms driving IgE‐mediated reactions, highlights the central role of these B cells, and discusses how natural tolerance (NT) and oral immunotherapy (OIT) can reshape allergic immune responses.
