Magnesium silicide (Mg2Si) is introduced as a narrow‐bandgap, biodegradable semiconductor for transient electronics. RF‐sputtered and annealed Mg2Si thin films show high intrinsic electrical conductivity and low thermal conductivity. The polycrystalline material undergoes hydrolysis in aquatic and composting environments with minimal cytotoxicity ...

Here the authors present the development of novel and inexpensive membranes for Li salt electro‐electrodialysis based on sulphonamide‐based polyelectrolyte for LiOH production by electrodialysis. The membranes are self‐standing Li‐selective and low‐fluorine content in comparison with state‐of‐the art benchmark (Nafion 117 membrane).

ABSTRACT Background and Aims Accurate measurement of total energy expenditure (TEE) is critical for maintaining energy balance and body weight. This study aimed to analyze differences in TEE assessed by the doubly labeled water method (DLW‐TEE), using food quotient (FQ) derived from self‐reported 24‐h dietary recalls, respiratory quotient measured by ...

Thermo‐Oxidative Stability of Materials: Assessment and Predictions
The article summarizes long‐term stability predictions based on non‐Arrhenian extrapolation of fast high‐temperature thermoanalytical measurements. The theory is applicable for the lifetime estimation of objects made of plastics and other organic materials which can be employed in the conservation of plastic artifacts.

A Scoping Review and Bibliometric Analysis on Smart Firefighting in Buildings and Infrastructures
ABSTRACT Smart Firefighting is a concept that has emerged within the fire engineering and fire science disciplines in recent years. It can enable informed decision making and improved fire safety. However, its scope, definition, outcomes, and value to emergency management remain unclear. To investigate this, a scoping review and a bibliometric analysis

Soybean residue exhibits poor water holding capacity (WHC) due to high insoluble dietary fiber (>95%). Modification strategies (physical, biological, and chemical) enhance WHC by altering fiber structure/function, enabling optimized food texture and functional food development in meat, bakery, dairy, and other food systems.
