Exciplex Studies. II. Indole and Indole Derivatives
The Journal of Chemical Physics, 1967An excited-state solute—solvent complex (exciplex) has been shown to be responsible for a large red shift and loss of vibrational structure in the fluorescence spectra of indole and indole derivatives in polar solvents. Solute—solvent stoichiometry of 1:2 and 1:1 is observed with associating and nonassociating solvents, respectively.

Highly Enantioselective Copper- and Iron-Catalyzed Intramolecular Cyclopropanation of Indoles.
Journal of the American Chemical Society, 2017We report the first intramolecular enantioselective cyclopropanation of indoles, which was accomplished in good to high yield (up to 94%) with excellent enantioselectivity (up to >99.9% ee) by using copper or iron complexes of chiral spiro bisoxazolines ...

B(C6F5)3-Catalyzed (Convergent) Disproportionation Reaction of Indoles.
Journal of the American Chemical Society, 2017A metal-free B(C6F5)3-catalyzed approach is developed for the disproportionation reaction of a series of indoles with various hydrosilanes, without any additives such as base and production of any small molecule such as dihydrogen.

Antinociceptive (aminoalkyl)indoles
Journal of Medicinal Chemistry, 1991The (aminoalkyl)indole (AAI) derivative pravadoline (1a) inhibited prostaglandin (PG) synthesis in mouse brain microsomes in vitro and ex vivo and exhibited antinociceptive activity in several rodent assays. In vitro structure-activity relationship studies of this new class of PG synthesis inhibitors revealed a correspondence in three respects to those

Ruthenium(II)-Catalyzed Direct C-H Arylation of Indoles with Arylsilanes in Water.
Organic Letters, 2017The ruthenium(II)-catalyzed, heteroatom-directed C-H arylation of indoles with arylsilanes in water has been developed. The method represents the first example of a ruthenium(II)-catalyzed oxidative C-H arylation in water/aqueous media as a sustainable ...
