Integrated O2 and H2 Gas Therapy via Microneedle‐Assisted Photocatalytic Water Splitting for Accelerating Diabetic Full‐Thickness Skin Wound Healing

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A concept of integrated O2 and H2 gas therapy is achieved using a gas‐producing material. PMP nanoparticles, fabricated from platinum, MIL‐101(Fe)‐NH2, and phosphotungstic acid, are integrated into bilayer gelatin methacryloyl microneedles for transdermal delivery. These microneedles enable integrated O2 and H2 gas therapy and promote wound healing via

Inducible nitric oxide synthase immunoreactivity in healthy rat pancreas.

open access: yesFolia Histochemica et Cytobiologica, 2008
Nitric oxide (NO) is produced by NO synthase (NOS) isoforms: neuronal NOS (nNOS), endothelial NOS (eNOS) and inducible NOS (iNOS). It is believed that, while nNOS and eNOS are effective in regulation of normal physiological processes, iNOS is expressed ...

An Injectable ROS‐Responsive Nanozyme Hydrogel Regulates the Uterine Microenvironment to Prevent Intrauterine Adhesions

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The injectable CeTA@GPP hydrogel is administered via intrauterine injection, forming a protective barrier. In the high ROS inflammatory microenvironment of injured endometrium, boronate ester cleavage triggers responsive CeTA release and local enrichment.

Anti-inflammatory effect of gallic acid-conjugated chitooligosaccharides in lipopolysaccharide-stimulated RAW 264.7 macrophages

open access: yesVietnam Journal of Science, Technology and Engineering
The aim of the present study is to investigate the anti-inflammatory effect of gallic acid grafted onto COS chains (GA-COS), focusing on the reduction of nitric oxide production, downregulation of inflammatory signals such as inducible nitric oxide ...

Suppressive effects of acetone extract from the stem bark of three Acacia species on nitric oxide production in lipopolysaccharide-stimulated RAW 264.7 macrophage cells

open access: yesAsian Pacific Journal of Tropical Biomedicine, 2016
Objective: To compare the inhibitory effects of acetone extracts from the stem bark of three Acacia species (Acacia dealbata, Acacia ferruginea and Acacia leucophloea) on nitric oxide production. Methods: The lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-stimulated RAW 264.7

Inducible nitric oxide synthase (iNOS): Role in asthma pathogenesis

open access: yes, 2007
Asthma is one of the most common chronic inflammatory disorder of the airways of the lungs, affecting more than 300 million people all over the world. Nitric oxide (NO) is endogenously produced in mammalian airways by nitric oxide synthase (NOS) and is ...

Force‐Electric Nanotentacles of Tantalum Implant Accelerate Cellular Energy Metabolism/Crosstalk for Immunomodulation‐Vascularized Bone Integration

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A biomimetic force‐electric nanotentacle‐enabled tantalum (Ta) implant with surface‐nanostructured LiTaO3 (n‐LiTaO3) was first developed via laser nanofabrication combined with Li+‐induced in situ reaction, enabling the transduction of ultrasound into bioelectrical cues.

Modulation of inducible nitric oxide synthase expression by sumoylation

open access: yesJournal of Neuroinflammation, 2009
Background In astrocytes, the inflammatory induction of Nitric Oxide Synthase type 2 (NOS2) is inhibited by noradrenaline (NA) at the transcriptional level however its effects on specific transcription factors are not fully known.

Matrix Rigidity Mechanoprimes Microglia for Inflammation Through Cytoskeletal‐to‐Nuclear Signaling and 3D Spatio‐Epigenomic Remodeling

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Pathological tissue rigidity mechanoprimes microglia by enhancing actin cytoskeleton–nucleus coupling and chromatin opening at rigidity‐responsive cis‐regulatory elements (mechanoCREs). Subsequent NF‐κB/p65 signaling converges on this permissive regulatory state to amplify inflammatory gene expression and microglial activation.
