Application of line pipe and hot induction bends in hydrogen gas
For the upcoming hydrogen economy, transport pipelines for hydrogen gas and gas mixtures of hydrogen and natural gas are one of the important components. For the application of steel in hydrogen gas it is necessary to handle the risk of hydrogen embrittlement by adapting the right knowledge.

Analysis of the influence of the pipe’s wall thickness on the corrugation of the surface during inductive bending of pipes [PDF]
The paper presents a calculation model for simulation the technological process of inductive bending of pipes. In the case of an incorrect combination of geometric bending parameters (pipe diameter, bend radius and pipe wall thickness) occurs the corrugation of the inner part in the pipe bend.

Abstract Duplex stainless steels are well known austenitic-ferritic alloys which combines good mechanical resistance and excellent corrosion resistance. Due to this fact, this steel family is widely employed in offshore piping applications. However, these alloys require great care in thermomechanical processing, such as welding, since they ...

Elephant‐skin‐inspired crack networks are programmed in porous diatomaceous earth (DE)‐cement composites using substrate‐guided, stress‐concentration induced fracture. The resulting crack lattices act as capillary conduits that redistribute water, while the porous matrix stores moisture.
