Universal Generators for Correlation Induction
Compared with algorithms specialized for a single distribution universal (also called automatic or black-box) algorithms for continuous distributions were relatively seldom discussed. But they have important advantages for the user: One algorithm coded and tested only once can do the same or even more than a whole library of standard routines.

The impact of wind generators on a Powe system's transient stability
This thesis discusses the investigations carried out on the different types of wind generators and how these would affect the transient stability of a hypothetical power network as presented in this report.

Study of Induction Generator Performance [PDF]
The renewable energy is considered to help saving energy and energy conservation. The energy from natural sources such as wind and sunlight are being developed for electrical energy supply.

Calpain small subunit homodimerization is robust and calcium‐independent
Calpains dimerize via penta‐EF‐hand (PEF) domains. Using single‐molecule force spectroscopy, we measured the strength and kinetics of PEF–PEF homodimer binding. The interaction is robust, shows a transient conformational step before dissociation, and remains largely insensitive to Ca2+.

Modeling and Analysis of a Novel Variable-Speed Cage Induction Generator
This paper introduces a novel cage induction generator and presents a mathematical model, through which its behavior can be accurately predicted. The proposed generator system employs a three-phase cage induction machine and generates single-phase and ...

Gut microbiome and aging—A dynamic interplay of microbes, metabolites, and the immune system
Age‐dependent shifts in microbial communities engender shifts in microbial metabolite profiles. These in turn drive shifts in barrier surface permeability of the gut and brain and induce immune activation. When paired with preexisting age‐related chronic inflammation this increases the risk of neuroinflammation and neurodegenerative diseases.

General-linguistic datasets that have become available in recent years promise to enable new progress toward a theory of general grammar. A barrier to success is the incompatibility between the inductive, externalist approach that is natural for exploiting the datasets and the deductive, mentalist philosophy that is currently dominant within ...

Advanced generator design using Pareto-optimization
In upcoming and future more-electric airplanes more electrical loads connected to the power distribution network will behave nonlinearly and will be switching with advanced demands on the network to keep the power quality.

Biomolecular condensates formed by fused in sarcoma (FUS) are dissolved by high ATP concentrations yet persist in cells. Using a reconstituted system, we demonstrate that valosin‐containing protein (VCP), an AAA+ ATPase, counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its D2 ATPase activity.

Generalized Induction of Kazhdan-Lusztig cells [PDF]
Following Lusztig, we consider a Coxeter group W together with a weight function. Geck showed that the Kazhdan-Lusztig cells of W are compatible with parabolic ...
