Experimental verification and analysis of temperature characteristics of induction generator considering stator loss distribution

open access: yesAIP Advances, 2020
Induction generators are widely used for hydro power generation as they are both economical and durable. Accurate temperature prediction is important for induction generators because temperature has a large impact on durability and efficiency.

Demo 17-04 Induction Generator

open access: yes, 2001
The generator shown in this demonstration is a standard Wimshurst machine, which generates a high voltage by the process of induction with positive feedback.

Diversity and complexity in neural organoids

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Neural organoid research aims to expand genetic diversity on one side and increase tissue complexity on the other. Chimeroids integrate multiple donor genomes within single organoids. Self‐organising multi‐identity organoids, exogenous cell seeding, or enforced assembly of region‐specific organoids contribute to tissue complexity.

Hyperosmotic stress induces PARP1‐mediated HPF1‐dependent mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Sorbitol‐induced hyperosmotic stress rapidly induces reversible mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation (MARylation) on PARP1 without the signs of genotoxic signaling. We show that PARP1 autoMARylation is HPF1 dependent and forms hydroxylamine‐resistant O‐glycosidic linkages.

An isoform of 14‐3‐3 protein regulates transbilayer lipid movement at the plasma membrane

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Loss of 14‐3‐3ζ in CHO cells confers resistance to exogenous phosphatidylserine (PS) and impairs endocytosis‐independent inward flip‐flop of fluorescent PS at the plasma membrane. RNAi‐mediated knockdown reproduces this defect, while no additive effect is seen in ATP11C‐deficient cells.

Wrapper Generation via Grammar Induction [PDF]

open access: yes, 2000
To facilitate effective search on the World Wide Web, meta search engines have been developed which do not search the Web themselves, but use available search engines to find the required information. By means of wrappers, meta search engines retrieve information from the pages returned by search engines.

Improving low voltage ride-through using super capacitor at the DC link of Doubly-Fed Induction Generator based wind turbine

open access: yes, 2015
This paper presents a simple methodology to improve the low voltage ride-through (LVRT) capability of Doubly Fed Induction Generator (DFIG) based wind turbines in order to ride through higher voltage sags and durations.

The ubiquitin ligase RNF115 is required for the clearance of damaged lysosomes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Upon lysosomal rupture, an E3 ubiquitin ligase RNF115 translocates from the cytosol to the damaged lysosomal membrane. Moreover, RNF115 depletion impairs the clearance of damaged lysosomes, identifying it as a key regulator of lysosomal quality control.

Modeling and Power Control of Cascaded Doubly-Fed Induction Generators Using a fractional-order PIλ controller

open access: yesAlgerian Journal of Signals and Systems
This paper deals with the power control of the cascaded doubly-fed induction generator (CDFIG) for wind energy applications. using a fractional order proportional integral (FOPI) controller within a field oriented control (FOC) scheme.
