This paper reviews, in some detail, the general theory of MHD induction generators. Several different approaches to the analysis of constant-velocity generators are summarized and compared, and a new mathematical model for a variable-velocity generator is presented, including digital computer solutions for the theoretical performance.

Feature Selection for Inductive Generalization
Cognitive Science, 2010AbstractJudging similarities among objects, events, and experiences is one of the most basic cognitive abilities, allowing us to make predictions and generalizations. The main assumption in similarity judgment is that people selectively attend to salient features of stimuli and judge their similarities on the basis of the common and distinct features ...

Capacitive Excitation for Induction Generators
Transactions of the American Institute of Electrical Engineers, 1935Up to the present, applications of induction generators have been limited, mainly because they must be paralleled with an existing synchronous system to determine their frequency and voltage and to obtain their necessary excitation. The tests described in this paper show that an induction machine may be operated as an independent or isolated generator ...

Inductively Generating the Spherical Harmonics
SIAM Journal on Mathematical Analysis, 1991Summary: The spherical harmonics of degree less than or equal to \(k\) in \(\mathbb{R}^{n-1}\) are used to generate the spherical harmonics of degree \(k\) in \(\mathbb{R}^n\).

Brushless induction synchronous generator
2016 IEEE 25th International Symposium on Industrial Electronics (ISIE), 2016In present scenario of renewable energy generation systems, brush-less and magnet-less generators are becoming more popular due to merits such as high reliability, robustness, fault tolerant capability and almost maintenance free operation, etc. This paper deals with a brushless induction synchronous generator (BInSyG), where an induction and a ...

We summarize a number of new results concerning inductive-theorem proving in the area of design specifications using Horn logic with equality. Induction is explicit here because induction orderings must be integrated into the specification. However, the proofs need less guidance if the specification is ground confluent and strongly terminating. Calculi

Wind-Driven Induction Generators
1998The specific characteristic of grid operation of wind-driven induction generators and their influence on generator design are described. Technical data of two wind-driven induction generators designed by Končar d.d. and their measured load characteristics are given. Efficiencies and slips of induction generators and motors with same powers are compared.
