Sequence determinants of RNA G‐quadruplex unfolding by Arg‐rich regions

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We show that Arg‐rich peptides selectively unfold RNA G‐quadruplexes, but not RNA stem‐loops or DNA/RNA duplexes. This length‐dependent activity is inhibited by acidic residues and is conserved among SR and SR‐related proteins (SRSF1, SRSF3, SRSF9, U1‐70K, and U2AF1).

Performance Evaluation of Eleven-Phase Induction Machine with Different PWM Techniques

open access: yesThe Journal of Engineering Research, 2015
Multiphase induction machines are used extensively in low and medium voltage (MV) drives. In MV drives, power switches have a limitation associated with switching frequency.

PICALM::MLLT10 translocated leukemia

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This comprehensive review of PICALM::MLLT10 translocated acute leukemia provides an in‐depth review of the structure and function of CALM, AF10, and the fusion oncoprotein (1). The multifaceted molecular mechanisms of oncogenesis, including nucleocytoplasmic shuttling (2), epigenetic modifications (3), and disruption of endocytosis (4), are then ...

Multi‐parameter identification method of induction motor based on coupling and small signal injection

open access: yesIET Electric Power Applications
Sensorless induction motor control has been widely applied to the rail transit field. However, achieving a safe stop of a train using electric braking without applying air braking has been an urgent problem to be solved.

Motors for tram drives

open access: yesTransport, 2005
This paper compares five different motor types used in variable speed drives: a dc motor with a mechanical commutator and with electromagnetic or permanent magnets excitation, a cage induction motor, asynchronous cascade with a slip‐ring motor and a ...

Induction motor modeling for simulation of variable speed drives [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
Tämän työn tavoitteena oli kehittää oikosulkumoottorin avaruusvektorimalli, jolla voidaan kuvata moottorin dynamiikka ja laskea moottorin häviöt riittävällä tarkkuudella taajuusmuuttajakäytössä. Kirjallisuudesta löydettyjen mallien pohjalta muodostettiin

Cell wall target fragment discovery using a low‐cost, minimal fragment library

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
LoCoFrag100 is a fragment library made up of 100 different compounds. Similarity between the fragments is minimized and 10 different fragments are mixed into a single cocktail, which is soaked to protein crystals. These crystals are analysed by X‐ray crystallography, revealing the binding modes of the bound fragment ligands.

Stator Fault Diagnostics in Asymmetrical Six-Phase Induction Motor Drives with Model Predictive Control Applicable During Transient Speeds

open access: yesMachines
Abrupt speed variations and motor start-ups have been pointed out as critical challenges in the framework of fault diagnostics in induction motor drives, namely inter-turn short circuit faults.
