Stator Fault Diagnostics in Asymmetrical Six-Phase Induction Motor Drives with Model Predictive Control Applicable During Transient Speeds

open access: yesMachines
Abrupt speed variations and motor start-ups have been pointed out as critical challenges in the framework of fault diagnostics in induction motor drives, namely inter-turn short circuit faults.

Performance Evaluation of Eleven-Phase Induction Machine with Different PWM Techniques

open access: yesThe Journal of Engineering Research, 2015
Multiphase induction machines are used extensively in low and medium voltage (MV) drives. In MV drives, power switches have a limitation associated with switching frequency.

Degradation mechanism of the von Willebrand factor A2 domain by nattokinase

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Nattokinase, a natto‐derived protease, exhibits potent antithrombotic effects. This study demonstrates that nattokinase directly cleaves the von Willebrand factor (vWF) A2 domain in vitro. Unlike the native regulator ADAMTS13, nattokinase degrades folded vWF independently of shear stress.

Line-start permanent-magnet motor: single-phase starting performance analysis [PDF]

open access: yes, 2002
This paper presents a detailed quasi-steady-state approach to different torque components (average and pulsating) for a single-phase capacitor-run permanent-magnet (PM) motor.

Asynchronous motor rotation speed observer

open access: yesВестник Самарского государственного технического университета. Серия: Технические науки, 2020
The paper is devoted to the mathematical foundations of creating sensorless speed stabilization systems for induction motors with scalar control. There are many applications of AC electric drives where scalar control is required, and the use of speed ...

The ubiquitin‐proteasome system and autophagy as guardians of the cellular proteome

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This Perspective covers the three principles governing the crosstalk between the ubiquitin‐proteasome system and autophagy in cellular proteostasis: (1) a shared ubiquitin code routing substrates via shuttle factors or autophagy receptors; (2) spatial compartmentalization into phase‐separated degradation hubs and organelle‐specific modules (exemplified

Optimization Of Fuzzy Logic Based For Vector Control Induction Motor Drives

open access: yes, 2016
Recently, fuzzy logic controllers have been recognized in induction motor drives systems for their robust performance. Therefore, this paper presents a fuzzy logic (FL) control system based on FL approach for a vector controlled induction motor drives ...

An unexpected alternative viologen electron mediator site in tungsten‐containing formate dehydrogenase

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
An unexpected alternative interaction site for ethyl viologen was identified in formate dehydrogenase 1 from Methylorubrum extorquens. Combined mutagenesis, kinetic analysis, and docking revealed that aromatic residues near an iron–sulfur cluster enable flavin mononucleotide‐independent electron transfer, offering a framework for engineering improved ...

Salmonella lipopolysaccharide‐containing supported lipid bilayers as platforms to study bacteriophage interactions

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We present robust protocols for the preparation of supported lipid bilayers (SLBs) incorporating either Salmonella smooth LPS or outer membrane vesicles (OMVs). We use a combination of quartz crystal microbalance with dissipation (QCM‐D) and fluorescence microscopy to both characterize the SLBs of various compositions and to probe their interactions ...
