Adaptive Vector Control of Induction Motor Drive

2020 7th International Conference on Energy Efficiency and Agricultural Engineering (EE&AE), 2019
Modern induction electric drives usually use vector control, due to which their characteristics are improved. The purpose of most studies are the problems associated with the identification and estimation of the parameters of electric drives at zero speed and close to it. The article proposes an adaptive control in the control loop of the torque.

Optimal Efficiency Control of an Induction Motor Drive

IEEE Transactions on Energy Conversion, 1987
A practical method for achieving optimal efficiency over the complete operating range of a variable speed drive is described. The proposed system adaptively adjusts the flux level in the motor based on a direct measurement of the power input to the drive.

Multiphase Induction Motor Drives

IET Chennai 3rd International Conference on Sustainable Energy and Intelligent Systems (SEISCON 2012), 2012
Recent research articles mostly addressing towards multiphase inverter fed multiphase induction motors due to their redundant structure, and reliability with high fault tolerant capabilities. Benefits over the traditional three-phase motors are, by reducing the amplitude and increasing the frequency of torque pulsations, lowering the rotor harmonic ...

An observer for speed sensorless induction motor drive

Proceedings of 1994 IEEE International Symposium on Industrial Electronics (ISIE'94), 2002
An observer for a speed sensorless induction motor drive is proposed in the paper. It is easy to implement on a microprocessor with particular reference to high performance drives requiring the vectorial control technique which needs a flux observer. The proposed speed observer is based on an adequate arrangement of the error system equations, written ...

Predictive sensorless control of induction motor drives

2015 IEEE International Conference on Industrial Technology (ICIT), 2015
This paper presents a control system of an Induction Machine (IM) with predictive controller-estimator. A novel speed estimator is proposed, and the estimator operation is examined at different operational conditions. The new estimator shows an improvement in the speed estimation during the transient operation compared to the conventional estimators ...

A robust speed controller for induction motor drives

IEEE Transactions on Industrial Electronics, 1994
A speed controller considering the effects of parameter variations and external disturbance for indirect field-oriented induction motor drives is proposed in this paper. First a microprocessor-based indirect field-oriented induction motor drive is implemented and its dynamic model at nominal case is estimated.

A model reference identification technique for induction motor drives

Proceedings of the 1996 IEEE IECON. 22nd International Conference on Industrial Electronics, Control, and Instrumentation, 2002
Real-time identifiers of the rotor parameters of an induction motor drive are presented in the paper. The synthesis procedure of the identifiers is based on the MRAC system theory. An appropriate choice of the reference model allows a Lyapunov function to be built up by means of which the updating law of one of the above mentioned parameters can be ...

Induction motor drive system for crane polyp modernization

Proceedings of the 2014 6th International Conference on Electronics, Computers and Artificial Intelligence (ECAI), 2014
This paper presents a programmable controller for an induction motor (7.5 kW) used in hydraulic pump of crane polyp. Crane polyp is controlled with wireless joystick beside the wired one. The proposed system has an Atmega328 microcontroller, MC3PHAC motor drive IC (integrated circuit), nRF24L01+ transceiver and some external components.

Adaptive Learning Control for Induction Motor Servo Drives

2007 IEEE International Symposium on Industrial Electronics, 2007
The output feedback tracking control problem for induction motor servo drives with mechanical uncertainties is addressed. Under the assumption that the reference profile for the rotor angle is periodic with known period, an adaptive learning control is designed, which "learns" the non-structured unknown periodic disturbance signal due to mechanical ...

On line estimation of speed and parameters in induction motor drives

ISIE '97 Proceeding of the IEEE International Symposium on Industrial Electronics, 2002
An algorithm which performs the simultaneous online estimation of motor speed and two motor parameters in induction motor drives is presented in the paper. Therefore, speed sensorless control is made feasible. The proposed algorithm is based on a full order flux observer and on the analytical relation which links the error on the stator current to the ...
