Inductively coupled fluxon oscillators

Journal of Applied Physics, 1985
We study numerically the propagation of fluxons along two Josephson transmission lines which are coupled by an inductive element. This structure, for particular choices of the coupling parameters, reveals an interesting variety of nonlinear phenomena. The numerical simulations show good qualitative agreement with analytical calculations regarding the ...

Inductive magnetosphere–ionosphere coupling

Journal of Atmospheric and Solar-Terrestrial Physics, 2004
Abstract Inductive coupling of a global magnetospheric model to a global ionospheric–thermospheric model is described. Existing schemes based on electrostatic coupling are valid for magnetospheric variability occurring on time scales of order 100 s or longer.

Induction-Coupled Plasma Torch

Journal of Applied Physics, 1961
A new method of generating a stable plasma at atmospheric pressure using inductive coupling at a frequency of several Mc is described. Methods of starting and operating this plasma in argon, and mixtures of argon with helium, hydrogen, oxygen, and air are discussed.

Inductively coupled bit memories

IEEE Transactions on Magnetics, 1967
The application of inductively coupled magnetic films to memory organization is described. Experimental work resulted in bilateral flux transfer between magnetic film elements of equal size. The influence of the device and coupling loop parameters, as well as the rise time of the drive pulse, on the maximum number of identical elements for a ...

Inductively coupled wireless RF coil arrays

Magnetic Resonance Imaging, 2015
As the number of coils increases in multi-channel MRI receiver-coil arrays, RF cables and connectors become increasingly bulky and heavy, degrading patient comfort and slowing workflow. Inductive coupling of signals provides an attractive "wireless" approach, with the potential to reduce coil weight and cost while simplifying patient setup.

Inductively coupled plasma-mass spectrometry

1987
The inductively coupled plasma-mass spectrometer combines two analytical facilities to produce an instrument with powerful potential in the field of multi-element trace analysis. The inductively coupled argon plasma is used, not as a source for optical emission measurements (as in ICP-atomic emission spectrometry, Chapter 5), but rather as a source of ...

Inductively Coupled Plasma Torches

2013
We investigate in this chapter another type of application using eddy currents. An Inductively Coupled Plasma torch (commonly referred to as ICP) is a technical device used to analyze a given sample (gas, solid or liquid prepared as an aerosol) by injecting it in a plasma (generally made of argon) (see Fig. 10.1).

Neon Inductively Coupled Plasma for Laser Ablation-Inductively Coupled Plasma-Mass Spectrometry

Applied Spectroscopy, 2002
The use of a neon inductively coupled plasma (Ne ICP) in place of an argon inductively coupled plasma (Ar ICP) for laser ablation microprobe-inductively coupled plasma-mass spectrometry (LAM-ICP-MS) is demonstrated. Gas blank mass spectra were obtained comparing the signals obtained with an Ar ICP with the Ne ICP.

Induction coupled plasma processing

IEE Colloquium on Recent Advances in Micromaching Techniques, 1997
Summary form only given. Low pressure plasma micro-machining etches require rates and mask selectivities far greater than those normally associated with microelectronic device fabrication. Induction coupled plasma generation with separate rf bias applied to the substrate is an appropriate strategy for process pressures around 1 Pa.
