Nanohenry inductance measurement using a low parasitic‐inductance probe
Electronics and Communications in Japan (Part II: Electronics), 1996AbstractThe increased speeds of logic circuitry make the electrical characteristics of LSI packages more important. This is especially true of inductance, which is the main source of simultaneous switching noise (SSN). To improve the accuracy of SSN simulations, inductance models of LSI packages should be represented by inductance matrices; and, thus ...

Inductive Sensor for Temperature Measurement in Induction Heating Applications
IEEE Sensors Journal, 2012A new inductive sensor for temperature measurement in domestic induction hobs and results of its applications are presented. It consists of a coil and a resonant electronic circuit which measures the impedance variation of ferromagnetic pots when their temperature changes.

On-board effective inductance measurement
Asia-Pacific Conference on Circuits and Systems, 2003A simple technique for effective spiral inductance measurement with nano henry sensitivity is presented. This on-board technique is based upon a differential test pattern design. Only a DC voltmeter and a current meter are needed for its measurement.

Measurement of Small Inductance
Nature, 1921THE method of suspending a loop of wire in a uniform alternating magnetic field, as used by Fleming and Elihu Thomson for the construction of A.C. galvanometers, can be applied with advantage to determine the self-inductance of loops in absolute measure, and it would seem that we can go considerably lower in this way than can conveniently be done ...

Mice treated to induce metallothionein (MT) synthesis in the liver prior to irradiation were resistant to radiation; this also was true of mice that had a portion of skin surgically removed or an immunomodulator administered. Mice given Mn, Cd or Zn subcutaneously prior to irradiation showed increased tolerance to an LD50 level (6-8 Gy) of x rays ...

Distance Measurement With Inductive Coils
IEEE Sensors Journal, 2012Distance measurement is an important tool in several applications. This article describes the development of a resonant inductive sensor for short (few centimeters) distance measurement. The sensor uses the principle of inductive coupling, where a transmitter coil (TX) induces a voltage in receiver coil (RX).

Colorblind Measures and Inductions
2017Empirical investigations of racial colorblindness require corresponding measures and inductions. A wide variety of measurement and inductive strategies are available in the literature; however, corresponding with theoretical treatments of colorblindness, remarkably little consensus exists.

Inductive Measures of Psychological Climate
Human Relations, 1991Eight summary dimensions of psychological climate, i.e., autonomy, trust, cohesiveness, pressure, support, recognition, fairness, and innovation, were derived from over 80 differently labeled dimensions reported in the literature. Five item scales of each summary dimension were developed and tested in a sample (n = 367) of managerial employees ...

Measurement of conductivity by induction
Journal of Applied Physics, 1972The exact solution to the problem of determining the conductivity of a metallic cylinder from the measurement of the decay of induced currents is compared to the approximate solution which considers the cylinder to be a single time-constant R-L network. We consider the general case where the sample partially fills the primary coil and where the primary

Inductance measurements of Josephson arrays
CPEM 2010, 2010This paper describes experimental results of inductance measurements on Josephson junction arrays. Measured inductances, e.g. 110 nH for a programmable 1-V SINIS array, agree well with calculations based on the geometry of these arrays. The array inductance is of importance for Josephson AC waveform synthesis.
