Slip Measurements in Induction Machines
International Journal of Electrical Engineering & Education, 1969The particular circuitry described was chosen because the components were available. It is only one way of implementing the scheme and space and probably cost could be reduced by using solid state components where possible. As mentioned, the device does not require a direct connection to the rotating part and if a known frequency, e.g. mains, is used

Inductance Potentiometer Measuring Piezo-Susceptibility
Review of Scientific Instruments, 1963The para- and ferromagnetic susceptibility has been determined at 500 bar hydrostatic pressure by placing a hollow Delrin rod with sample and oil inside a mutual inductance device. In a single test case the plastic and O-ring connections could withstand 1000 bar pressure. The effect of a displacement of the sample by the pressure is diminished by using

Stress measurement by internal induction
Physica B+C, 1977Abstract By placing electrical contacts on the surface of a ferromagnetic sample, voltages are measured during the reversal of magnetization that are sensitive to mechanical stresses. A novel “field-stroboscopic” method shows the “slalom-like” motion of the flux caused by inhomogeneous stresses as a motion picture.

Inductance Apparatus for Diamagnetic Measurements
Review of Scientific Instruments, 1949Two types of inductance apparatus have been applied to the measurement of the susceptibility of diamagnetic compounds. With an alternating current apparatus, an accuracy of 0.1 percent of the diamagnetic effect, Δκ=0.7·10−8, has been obtained. The time of measurement was about 8 minutes.

Inductance measurements in thin films
Superconductor Science and Technology, 1997We present a new inductance measurement technique using a multi-frequency LCR meter. The inductance of superconducting (YBCO) delay lines was measured both as a function of temperature and bias current. The measured temperature dependence of the change in inductance for both meander and straight lines shows a square dependence on temperature, in good ...

Inductance transducers for linear measurements
Measurement Techniques, 2013The technical and metrological characteristics of the 8-mm-diameter inductance transducers that are the most widely used in different countries around the world for linear measurements are considered. Certain structural and metrological shortcomings that must be taken into account in the course of use are described.
