Ultrafast Linear Kinetic Inductive Photoresponse of YBa2Cu3O7-{\delta} Meander-Line Structures by Photoimpedance Measurements

open access: yes, 2011
We report the experimental demonstration of linear kinetic-inductive photoresponse of thin-film YBa2Cu3O7-{\delta} (YBCO) meander-line structures, where the photoresponse amplitude, full-width-half-maximum (FWHM), and rise-time are bilinear in the ...

Frequency response characterization of ironless inductive position sensors with long cables

open access: yesMATEC Web of Conferences, 2018
The two linear position sensors used to determine the position of the European Organization for Nuclear Research; Large Hadron Collider collimator’s jaws with respect to the beam are the linear variable differential transformer and the ironless inductive

Inductive Power Transfer Link at 13.56 MHz for Leadless Cardiac Pacemakers

open access: yesEnergies, 2021
Inductive power links are most viable for the long-term powering of cardiac pacemakers. Designing an inductive power link without surpassing the specific absorption rate (SAR) for modern leadless cardiac pacemakers (LCPs) remains a challenging task ...

Integrating Patient‐Reported Quality Measures in SLE: Development of the American College of Rheumatology Implementation Guide

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, Accepted Article.
Objective To support high‐quality, patient‐centered care for systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), the American College of Rheumatology (ACR) developed evidence‐based measures incorporating clinical and patient‐reported outcomes measures (PROMs). Using the Consolidated Framework for Implementation Research (CFIR), we conducted semi‐structured interviews ...

Proximity effect in Nb-Mo layered films: Transition temperature and critical current dependence on period

open access: yes, 2011
The behavior of the transition temperature and critical current density for a Mo/Nb repeated bilayer system as a function of the number of periods was explored. The measured values of the transition temperature are compared to the theoretical predictions

LHCD during current ramp experiments on Alcator C-Mod

open access: yesEPJ Web of Conferences, 2017
The lower hybrid current drive (LHCD) system on Alcator C-Mod is capable of sustaining fully non-inductive discharges for multiple current relaxation times (τcr ∼ 200 ms) at line averaged densities in the range of 5x1019 m-3.

Test setup using DC metering approach for loss measurements of inductive components – principle, characterization, validation and application

open access: yesIET Power Electronics, 2021
Accurate loss estimation of magnetic components is crucial for power electronics engineers. Unfortunately, loss predictions remain a quite challenging task, as these depend on many parameters and manufacturers typically do not deliver a sufficient ...

Interaction between Molten Al‐Killed Mn–B Steel and Carbon‐Bonded MgO Refractories Based on Recyclates

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
High‐temperature interactions between low‐sulfur Al‐killed Mn–B steel and MgO–C refractories (0 and 50 wt% recyclates) are studied via finger immersion tests (1600 °C). Surface‐active elements influence infiltration. MgO/CaS layer forms, along with spinel and calcium silicate.
