Lewis‐Acid Engineering with Neodymium Promoters as Synergistic Nd‐Ni Dual Sites for Enhanced Urea Oxidation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The integration of rare‐metal neodymium centers to engineer Lewis acid sites with nickel centers is proposed as highly efficient UOR catalysts. ABSTRACT The sluggish kinetics of the urea oxidation reaction (UOR) are strongly associated with the high energy barriers required for the C‐N cleavage and N‐N coupling steps.

Natural Teleology in Hume's "Sceptical Solution"

open access: yesJournal of Modern Philosophy
"Sceptical Solution of these Doubts" is a pivotal moment in Hume's first Enquiry: it provides his account of our warrant for inductive reasoning, and thereby explains how he can consistently move from his "Sceptical Doubts" about induction to his ...

Topology‐Aware Deep Learning on Higher‐Order Structures for Drug Response Prediction

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
We present TopDr, a topology‐aware deep learning framework that encodes both drugs and cell lines as multiscale simplicial complexes, capturing interactions at the 0‐, 1‐, and 2‐simplex levels. By jointly integrating local higher‐order neighborhoods and global topological structures, TopDr generates enriched representations for sensitivity prediction ...

A Periosteum‐Inspired Janus Piezoelectric Scaffold Using Bioenergetic‐Driven H‐Type Vascularization for Diabetic Bone Regeneration

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A periosteum‐inspired Janus piezoelectric scaffold converts micromechanical forces into electrical signals and synergizes with controlled resveratrol release. This dual action reprograms endothelial metabolism, drives H‑type vessel formation, and restores bone–vessel coupling in diabetic bone defects.

Al─N Co‐Doped LLZO Solid Electrolytes via One‐Step Sintering: Toward High Ionic Conductivity

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Al–N co‐doped LLZO solid electrolytes were prepared via a one‐step sintering process, which not only simplifies fabrication process, but also diminishes Li loss during high‐temperature sintering in conventional fabrication process. The Al–N co‐doped LLZO achieves a high ionic conductivity of 2.19 × 10−3 S cm−1 because the co‐doping reduces the energy ...

Attacking a Protocol for Group Key Agreement by Refuting Incorrect Inductive Conjectures [PDF]

open access: yes, 2004
Automated tools for finding attacks on flawed security protocols often struggle to deal with protocols for group key agreement. Systems designed for fixed 2 or 3 party protocols may not be able to model a group protocol, or its intended security ...

In Situ Confinement of 0D Halometallates Within Deep Eutectic Solvents: From Systematic Screening to Metal‐Tunable Luminescence for Anti‐Counterfeiting Eutectogels

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
We report photostable, photoluminescent deep eutectic solvents (DESs) powered by in situ‐formed zero‐dimensional (0D) halometallates. Stabilized by microenvironment‐controlling hydrogen bond acceptor (HBA) and donor (HBD) networks, these DESs exhibit vibrant, metal ion‐tunable emission (PLQY = 60.2%).
