The 'Most Important and Fundamental' Distinction in Logic
In this paper I argue that the debate over the purported distinction between deductive and inductive arguments can be bypassed because making the distinction is unnecessary for successfully evaluating arguments.

Inductive Diagrams for Causal Reasoning
The Lamport diagram is a pervasive and intuitive tool for informal reasoning about “happens-before” relationships in a concurrent system. However, traditional axiomatic formalizations of Lamport diagrams can be painful to work with in a mechanized setting like Agda.

Large‐Area Printed PEDOT:PSS Shielding and Frequency Selective Surface (FSS) on Textiles
An all‐polymer e‐textile frequency selective surface (FSS) can present controlled shielding, presenting a competitive alternative to metal‐based inks. The results show how PEDOT: PSS‐based e‐textiles could be applied in RF devices for future wearable applications.

Induction with Generalization in Superposition Reasoning [PDF]
We describe an extension of automating induction in superposition-based reasoning by strengthening inductive properties and generalizing terms over which induction should be applied. We implemented our approach in the first-order theorem prover Vampire and evaluated our work against state-of-the-art reasoners automating induction.

We introduce an additively manufactured bioreactor with a perfusion flow system and integrated temperature and pH sensors for skeletal muscle tissue biofabrication. The bioreactor's performance was evaluated by assessing the viability, spreading of the myoblast cells in a printed scaffold, and contraction of the isolated murine musculi interossei ...

Hybrid knowledge reasoning over knowledge hypergraph: Inductive, deductive, and abductive
Traditional knowledge reasoning methods, which are predominantly reliant on static rules and structured data, often struggle to adapt to the ambiguity and dynamic evolution of real-world scenarios.

Inductive-reasoning is a step to draw general conclusions from individual matters. IR can be measured using the Intelligent Structure (IST) sub-ZR using a number pattern and using an Inductive Reasoning Test (IRT), which is an image pattern.

Anodic aluminum oxide (AAO) membranes have traditionally served as structural supports in osmotic energy systems. Here, blind‐hole AAO membranes are demonstrated as active ion‐selective platforms with tunable nanopore structures. By balancing membrane resistance, ion selectivity, and flux, enhanced performance is achieved, delivering a maximum power ...

Using Measures of Situation Awareness to Characterize Mental Models in Inductive Reasoning Tasks [PDF]
Mental models have been proposed in both the cognitive psychology and human factors literature. However, they have been applied for a variety of related but distinct representations.
