On the Efficacy of Through-Silicon-Via Inductors
Through-silicon-vias (TSVs) can potentially be used to implement inductors in 3-D integrated systems for minimal footprint and large inductance. However, different from conventional 2-D spiral inductors, TSV inductors are fully buried in the lossy ...

Traditional materials for coils and common mode chokes are iron and ferrites. Iron has a high saturation level but low permeability, and ferrite has low saturation and high permeability. Nanocrystalline materials are a rather new material with a high saturation and a high permeability.

The inductor as a transmission line
Proceedings of the IEEE, 1987Research into the interconnection of high-speed logic causes us to re-evaluate and modify the traditional view of circuit components like inductors, and to realize that they are not lumped but are distributed in space.

Gyrators, integrated inductors and simulated inductors
2020This chapter first reviews the basic oneand two-port circuit elements and then highlights the basic characterization and impedance inverting property of the gyrator. To place the scope and the contents of this monograph in the right perspective, this chapter then discusses several other issues such as commercially available passive inductors and ...

Application of the inductor multiplier
2006 13th IEEE International Conference on Electronics, Circuits and Systems, 2006A current mode active inductor multiplier[1] is obtained using the Miller capacitor by the dual circuit generation technique. To apply the active inductor multiplier to the filters and oscillators, a bi-directional CCCS and multiplication factor control circuit for the variable active inductor multiplier circuit are reported.

ON THE TRANSFORMATION OF GROUNDED INDUCTORS TO FLOATING INDUCTORS USING OFA AND FCCII
Journal of Circuits, Systems and Computers, 2012In a recent paper published in this journal, Soliman presented the methods of transformation of grounded inductors to floating inductors using operational floating amplifiers and floating second generation current conveyors. The purpose of this note is to bring on record the present author's earlier works on the same topic published about 24 years ...
