Data, not documents: Moving beyond theories of information‐seeking behavior to advance data discovery

open access: yesJournal of the Association for Information Science and Technology, Volume 76, Issue 4, Page 649-664, April 2025.
Abstract Many theories of human information behavior (HIB) assume that information objects are in text document format. This paper argues four important HIB theories are insufficient for describing users' search strategies for data because of assumptions about the attributes of objects that users seek.

Object detection and tracking benchmark in industry based on improved correlation filter [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2018
Real-time object detection and tracking have shown to be the basis of intelligent production for industrial 4.0 applications. It is a challenging task because of various distorted data in complex industrial setting. The correlation filter (CF) has been used to trade off the low-cost computation and high performance.

Linear Matrix Inequality‐based design of distributed proportional‐integral‐derivative for the output consensus tracking in heterogeneous high‐order multi‐agent systems

open access: yesAsian Journal of Control, EarlyView.
Abstract This article addresses the cooperative output consensus tracking problem for high‐order heterogeneous multi‐agent systems via a distributed proportional‐integral‐derivative (PID)‐like control strategy and proposes two novel control methodologies for the tuning of the control gains, which do not require any assumption and/or limitation on agent

Design of conventional batch distillation of anaerobic digestate to isolate ammonium bicarbonate considering non‐ideal mixture behavior

open access: yesBiofuels, Bioproducts and Biorefining, EarlyView.
Abstract Anaerobic digestate is a byproduct of biogas production and it is suitable for use as fertilizer. Ammonia and carbon dioxide provide the anaerobic digestate with buffer capacity and these compounds are responsible for the regulation of the pH of this soil organic amendment.
