Study on the characteristics and mechanism of inert powder inhibition of gas/coal dust compound explosion

open access: yesMeitan kexue jishu
Gas/coal dust composite explosion is a complex process that combines homogeneous and heterogeneous combustion. The combustion main control mechanism changes dynamically and the explosion mechanism is more complex, resulting in higher explosion ...

ANALYTICAL STUDIES OF IGNITION OF NATURAL FUEL AEROSOLS [PDF]

open access: yesАктуальные вопросы пожарной безопасности
The paper analyzes calculated and experimental data on the conditions of thermal and chain ignition of natural fuels (coal, peat, and shale aerosols) and the influence of various factors such as aerosol dispersion and concentration, gas-dynamic ...

Loss of proton‐sensing TDAG8 increases tumor progression in mouse models of colon cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Loss of the pH‐sensing receptor TDAG8 accelerates colorectal cancer progression in mice. Animals lacking TDAG8 expression had increased tumor growth, DNA damage, and recruitment of tumor‐associated immune cells, including macrophages, neutrophils, and monocytes.

Effects of spraying plants with suspensions of inert dusts*

open access: yesAnnals of Applied Biology, 1969
SUMMARYIn an examination of possible harmful effects to plants caused by spraying leaves with inert dust suspensions it was shown that Stockalite (kaolin), talc, silica or Tiona W.D. (titanium oxide), suspended in water and sprayed on excised leaves of three species, significantly (P≯ 0·05) increased water loss and penetration of gaseous ammonia; these

Experimental Investigation on Inerting Mechanism of Dust Explosion

open access: yesProcedia Engineering, 2012
Systematic experiments were carried out on explosions of coal dust-inertant mixtures. Explosion severity was gained by using Siwek 20 L vessel and factors strongly influencing inerting effectiveness, such as deflagration mechanism and inertant composition were taken into account.

Possibilities of using the dispersed waste of asphalt-concrete plants in the Republic of Buryatia

open access: yesMATEC Web of Conferences, 2018
This article considers the possibility of using the dispersed waste of asphalt-concrete plants, namely the dust-entrainment, which is formed during the drying and heating of inert materials and accumulates in special dust-collecting facilities.

Epigenetic silencing of the liver‐specific lncRNA LUNAR promotes liver cancer progression via NOTCH activation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
LUNAR is a liver‐specific long noncoding RNA (lncRNA) that is highly expressed in normal liver but becomes epigenetically silenced in hepatocellular carcinoma through promoter hypermethylation. Loss of LUNAR is associated with NOTCH activation, epithelial–mesenchymal transition, and metastasis, whereas restoring LUNAR restrains metastatic progression ...
