In this work, melt electrowriting is used to fabricate a 3D printed scaffold design that generates engineered cardiac tissues with in‐plane contraction, mimicking natural myocardium. It is shown that these tissues display advanced maturation and functionality.

This study integrates dual‐reporter genetics, imaging flow cytometry, and single‐cell sequencing to characterize rare bihormonal cells in mouse and human pancreatic islets. Gcg⁺Ins⁺ cells resemble α‐cells rather than transitional states. Cross‐species gene network analysis refines islet cell taxonomy and reveals human‐specific δ‐cell subtypes ...

Maternal education and offspring birthweight for gestational age: the mediating effect of smoking during pregnancy [PDF]
Background Small for gestational age (SGA) birthweight, a risk factor of infant mortality and delayed child development, is associated with maternal educational attainment. Maternal tobacco smoking during pregnancy could contribute to this association. We aimed to quantify the contribution of maternal smoking during pregnancy to social inequalities in ...

ABSTRACT Prader‐Willi syndrome (PWS) is a neurodevelopmental disorder typically caused by large deletions or imprinting defects on chromosome 15q11.2, encompassing multiple genes. While the contribution of individual genes to the PWS phenotype remains unclear, previous studies suggested that isolated deletions of MAGEL2, NDN, and MKRN3, excluding the ...
