The Probiotic Parabacteroides johnsonii Ameliorates Metabolic Disorders Through Promoting BCAAs to BSCFAs Conversion

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Clinical discovery and the proposed underlying mechanism by how P. johnsonii ameliorated metabolic disorders. Abstract The gut bacterium Parabacteroides spp. is increasingly recognized for its therapeutic potential in treating metabolic disorders. However, the role of Parabacteroides johnsonii in metabolic disorders is never reported.

Cationic Peptoids for Systemic In Vivo Cartilage‐Targeting

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Systemically‐dosed Cy5‐labeled cationic peptoid probe (NlysO)7 (yellow) binds to the cartilage's glycosaminoglycan content in vivo across the entire body of a neonatal mouse imaged by light sheet fluorescence microscopy, revealing fluorescence uptake in generic cartilage as well as the developing and ossifying bones.

Tunneling Nanotube‐Mediated Transcellular Autophagy Alleviates Cadmium Induced Hepatocyte Injury

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ROS accumulation is an important upstream signal for activating transcellular autophagy. Incomplete autophagy and TNT formation are necessary conditions for activating transcellular autophagy, and the disruption of the autophagic fusion mechanism is a trigger for activating transcellular autophagy.

Comprehensive Insights into Tracheoesophageal Fistula Pathophysiology, Diagnosis, Treatment, and Future Directions

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Tracheoesophageal fistula (TEF), a pathological trachea‐esophagus connection, arises congenitally or from malignancy/radiotherapy/trauma, causing aspiration and malnutrition. Diagnosis utilizes imaging and endoscopy. Treatment ranges from endoscopic stenting to surgical repair and conservative management.

Advanced Cancer Immunotherapy via SMARCAL1 Blockade Using a Glucose‐Responsive CRISPR Nanovaccine

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A glucose‐catalyzed chemodynamic strategy is proposed to activate therapeutic genome editing of SMARCAL1to improve cancer immunotherapy. This innovative design featuring Fenton reaction activity and glucose consumption ability, not only effectively synergizes to activate the cGAS‐STING pathway but also inhibits the opposing functions of interferon by ...

USP45 Represses Melanoma Development by Deubiquitinating and Stabilizing Tumor Suppressor MRGPRF

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
USP45 acts as a melanoma suppressor by stabilizing MRGPRF, which weakens the PI3K/AKT pathway, suppresses tumor growth, and reduces melanoma cell migration and invasion. Abstract Melanoma, a highly malignant skin cancer, has seen a rising incidence and death toll. MRGPRF is a novel melanoma suppressor that inhibits the PI3K/AKT pathway.

Inhibition of RNase to Attenuate Fungal‐Manipulated Rhizosphere Microbiome and Diseases

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Fusarium graminearum uses its virulence effector Fg12, a fungal RNase, to manipulate the host rhizosphere microbiome and promote infection. Guanosine monophosphate (GMP) blocks Fg12's RNase activity. This reveals a key pathogen‐microbiota interaction mechanism and proposes GMP as a targeted strategy to disarm this core fungal effector, offering a ...

A Myelin Debris Cleaner for Spinal Cord Injury Recovery: Polycaprolactone / Cell Membrane Assembled Scaffolds

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
pMM‐PCL, made up of pretreated macrophage menbrane and polycaprolactone, boasts the adsorption of harmful myelin debris in the microenvironment of spinal cord injury. Abstract After spinal cord injury (SCI), a mass of myelin debris derived from injured myelin sheath will be consistently generated and induce macrophages to be foam cells.
