Abstract Since the publication of the 2021 FIGO Cancer Report, there has been further progress in the global effort to attain the WHO goal of cervical cancer elimination using a three‐pillar approach of vaccination, screening, and treatment. In rectal cancer surgery, this study examined the risk factors for urinary dysfunction and the effect of autonomic nervous system resection extent on urinary dysfunction. Autonomic nervous system resection and lateral lymph node dissection were independent risk factors for urinary dysfunction.

In this study, surgery was performed using this procedure‐based and close follow‐up showed that robotic surgery showed corresponding advantages over conventional laparoscopic resection in terms of protection of the pelvic autonomic nerves and achieved better late results.
