A Numerical–Experimental Approach for Multi‐Matrix Fiber‐Reinforced Plastics Characterization Using Finite Element Model Updating

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
A numerical–experimental framework is developed for characterizing multi‐matrix fiber‐reinforced polymers (MM‐FRPs) combining epoxy and polyurethane matrices. Harmonic bending tests are integrated with finite element model updating (FEMU) to simultaneously identify elastic and viscoelastic material parameters.

A study of right ventricular infarction in inferior wall myocardial infarction [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Clinical and Scientific Research, 2013
Background: Right ventricular infarction (RVI) is frequently associated with inferior wall myocardial infarction (MI). Methods: This study was designed to identify the burden of RVI in patients presenting with inferior wall MI (n=50) by right ...

Alteration in the global and regional myocardial strain patterns in patients with inferior ST-elevation myocardial infarction prior to and after percutaneous coronary intervention

open access: yesKaohsiung Journal of Medical Sciences, 2014
This study was designed to investigate the alteration on regional and global strains of left and right ventricle (LV, RV) in patients with inferior wall ST-elevation myocardial infarction (MI).

Hydrogen‐Assisted Fracture of Iron‐Based Fe–Ni–Al Alloys

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Principal relations and fracture mechanisms of single‐phase and precipitate‐strengthened Fe–Ni–Al alloys subjected to prior electrochemical hydrogen charging are identified. The mechanisms of hydrogen effect on strength and microhardness are discussed, including hydrogen‐induced increase in microhardness and the role of hydrogen in fracture behavior ...

Electrochemical Behavior of Flame‐Sprayed Sc‐Doped AlCoCrFeMo High‐Entropy Alloy Coatings in 3.5% Sodium Chloride Solution

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Scandium (Sc)‐doped AlCoCrFeMo HEA coatings are fabricated via flame spraying with 0.1, 0.3, and 0.5 wt% Sc additions. Among these, the HEA‐Sc0.3 coating exhibits the highest corrosion resistance, indicated by a more positive corrosion potential and lower current density.

The diagnostic value of three-dimensional echocardiography and speckle tracking echocardiography in patients after myocardial infarction with right ventricle involvement (clinical case)

open access: yesZaporožskij Medicinskij Žurnal, 2018
The inferior myocardial infarctions (MI) of left ventricle (LV) are often complicated with right ventricle (RV) involvement. The traditional echocardiographic parameters lack diagnostic accuracy in assessment of RV function.

Experimental Characterization and Constitutive Modeling of the Effect of Prior Inelastic Strain on the Viscoplastic Behavior of AD730 at 700 °C

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This study shows that superalloys used in aircraft engine disks become much more prone to deformation at high temperatures if they have been strained during manufacturing. This effect increases with the level of prior strain but eventually reaches a limit.

Exploration of Pseudobinary Alloys (Al–Mn)‐(Co–Fe–Ni) to Design High‐Entropy and Compositionally Complex Alloys to Stabilize the τ Phase in Al–Mn‐Based Ferromagnetic Alloys

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This experimental study investigates the thermodynamic limits of the Al–Mn τ ferromagnetic phase within complex‐composition alloys (CCAs). Using nine rare‐earth‐free compositions, it explores a broad region of the pseudobinary AlMnCoFeNi system. The results reveal intricate links between composition, phase stability, and magnetic behavior, highlighting

Sluggish Upstroke of Signal-Averaged QRS Complex. An Arrhythmogenic Sign in Patients with Anteroseptal Myocardial Infarction

open access: yesJournal of Arrhythmia, 2005
Non-invasive recording of the late potential (LP) by signal-averaging technique is useful in predicting ventricular tachycardia (VT), especially in patients with myocardial infarction (MI).
